Hi all,

just wondering if anyone was interested in this,

i film and edit for a living, got a cold at the moment and been stuck in the house all week editing, need to get away from the computer, i found a bit of excerise gets fid of the cold faster :(

Been dying to film some skylines, looking at a 2 - 3 min edit of some1s car, just pointless driving around shots, inside and out, things like that. mostly just make up some shots.

As it's a long weekend, any1 want to do this tomorrow (monday 2/6) should take about an hour or so to film (nice to meet some other skyline drivers), mostly finding different locations. Would be good if there were a few lines. gives me more footage to play with :( would b better if could do in the afternoon. north or south of the river. i don't mind going for a drive :(

just an idea

i was thinking along the coast, it's been done a million times, but might b a good place to start. between hilarys and trigg, lots of hills, trying to find somewhere with little traffic. also thinking abt city (st georges tce) or any industrial areas.

not looking for any burnouts, racing, or anything like that, just some clean footage of your car, also want some engine sounds :D

might b a bit late in the afternoon, but how abt 4pm start, the light will be disappearing, which is what i'm after, should make the cars stand out better :D

no probs, if any1 wants to come, meet at the new car parks @ hillarys at 4pm, the ones on the coast side, if ur leaving hillarys, heading towards trigg (north), the 1st ones on the right, might have to do a uturn depending on which way ur coming.

this is not a cruise, no maps, nothing like that, just in case any1 was thinking :D

pretty much just use the coast, then if anybody wants, head back to the city (or there abouts), looking to get more driving shots, means i have to go ahead, set up camera, then film away, thats why coast might b good, can find a few good spots, people can do uies and we can film some more :D

haha, this should b fun :teehee:

can't stay to long at the car park as the light will b fading, if any1 is gonna b late, just head north on the coast from hillarys. u'll either c some skylines or me filming ;) will b hanging around the hillarys 2 trigg area 4 a while

or contact me on 041 904 5943

thanks

steve

and a bit thanks for getting my car going again  i might have been stuck there for a while, my alarm went a but crazy, started screaming at me for no reason. then it killed my car, i know who i'm phoning tomorrow morning :(

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
