OK, with the Greddy E-manage now on the market looks like the Power FC has a bit of competition but I want to know which is the better of the two disregarding price range. What are the Pro's and Con's of each unit? From what I can gather tuners like the E-mannage because of it's easy tunning but what else is there? There has to be more to it.

Power Fc is a stand alone computer, e-manage is only a piggy back.

power FC disable the speed limit but e-manage don't.

e-manage only control the fuel inject but not the igition time(opition, need to pay for extra), power FC done both.

therefore, power FC has wider range of tuning ability but u pay for more.

personal i will go for e-manage coz it a bit more than 1/2 of power Fc price but does things close to power FC.

also, when i change my car, i can take the e-manage with me.

emanage = Apexi S-AFC???

The closest competition to the E-manage is the Apexi Super-AFC. The Super-AFC is a very nice and powerful unit, and they both have their advantages and disadvantages. The E-manage is far more capable, but does require a laptop (or the E-01 boost controller) to program. The Super-AFC is simpler, but is self-contained – you program it right on the unit's display. The Super-AFC doesn't handle larger injectors as easily as the E-manage, doesn't control additional injectors, doesn't do ignition timing, and doesn't have datalogging (though it does do some MAP tracing on the screen, but they can't be saved and are tricky to interpret). It's still a great computer, though. The E-manage is really the next step up.

Adzmax - If you go for the PowerFC then here are a few things to think about

1) The GTT uses a different version of the Hand Controller (N001) than any other Skyline (X001) which means that most tuners can only map it with the H/C and NOT a laptop (for better mapping the laptop is essential as if opens more options and displays more stuff)

2) The only company who can produce a GTT adaptor and software is FC-Datalogic but they need a GTT PowerFC to work with 1st as they haven't done one before.

I've just found all this out after buying my stuff, which I now can't use properly.

Quite a few people have said that but NO ONE has said what other options there were, seems like no one wants to say!? What's the deal, do you know IanH?

well ive got a e-manage on the way...with some reading i found the e-manage the way to go...

1...u can take it with u when u sell the car..

2...it can work with auto trans..

3...it does wot the pfc can do..

4...cheaper...

5..i got a loptop for it..

6..i got the e-01 ebc...

7..and the S-afc has nothing on the e-manage..that y im getting rid of the S-afc..

yes ur engine management system is only as good as the tuner...

and in japan they have cars with huge power and running the e-manage

$3500 in container fees to ship your car to and from Japan.

~$AU600 to tune it (labor fees are alot more there than here).

Nice tune. Sure it wouldn't be cheaper to get a PowerFC in the long run?

    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
    • Hi guys, just after some guidance with an R34 sunroof that has stopped working correctly. It still opens and closes perfectly fine, but it no longer tilts/vents up or down. As a result, the rear of the glass now sags a bit as it drops down slightly in order to retract into the roof, but now it can't pop upwards into a flush position. I’ve probed the pins on the back of the switch connector with a multimeter and it seems like both switches (for open/close and tilt/vent) still work correctly. Any ideas on what it could be, or where I should even start in terms of diagnosing? I'm sure someone's had this issue before but I haven't been able to find anything online relating to this specific issue, most of the issues are with the seals leaking or the motor failing entirely. Thanks in advance!
    • Do you have some data like fuel pressure? It's really hard to say if you're still fighting a fuel system issue at this point. Could be something weird like the FPCM dipping out.
    • Yeah in that case, pulling the dent out. Event a very slight dent can create a lot of work filler-wise and there is a strong chance the panel won't be the factory shape when you are done (as the dent will result in a new high point created somewhere, then everything is brought up to that new high point... but the panel shouldn't be that high if that makes sense).  So you've filled and primed the panel and it is flat, why would you go back and remove the primer and add more filler?
    • Something else I have been faffing with while the car was off the road is making the AC work. Assuming the car isn't at a thermal limit the idea of having AC while waiting in line to go on track sounds delightful. I have actually been lugging around the weight of the entire system since 2018 when the RB25NEO went in without it working at all.  The main reason was in the first few events before I got around to re-gassing it the rubber hose that runs under the manifold had the factory heat wrap/sleeve fail resulting in this: ~2 years ago I purchased a complete used R32 AC line set but when I finally went to install it the line i needed was different where the expansion section is I found a local place that was able to replace the rubber section and re-crimp. They also added some modern heat sleeve to the hose Tight fit but fingers crossed this is the last physical piece of the puzzle needed
