I always see this car as i work near them blokes. From what i have seen, they can sell realy nice clean GTR's. Though i have heard many bad things about them too. You realy have to go there and check it out for yourself and talk to them face to face. I almost bought a R32 GTR from them but spent my money else where.

Saw this car about 6 weeks ago looked ok didn't like the leather interior they did have the front lip it was just taken off to stop it from scrapping everything. Don't know about the 97 98 thing was told it was a 97 and its a series III cant understand why its just not stamped on the original jap plate seems a bit strange

options and extras?? turbo charged?? didn't know that was an option or extra .. i thought turbos were standard on a gtr .. ask them if u can get a NA gtr  .. in fact i dont' know why they are putting down all those things as options and extras... they are all normal and standard!!! false advertising everywhere!!!

Hmm - What's got me interested in the car is that it is a 97 V-Spec, I assume at least a series II if not III, I doubt the IV or even that there is one. I have not seen another 97 V-Spec on the market... Also it's black, I like black, and don't want a white one. It's got leather, albeit a not so good choice of colours and some minor mods that I'd want done anyway. I've seen some good buys here and I'm still keeping an eye out but it seems that most are fairly heavily modified or raced.

I'd definately get it checked, I've got a thread in the QLD forum asking for a reference for someone....

I'd be interested in anyone's experience with these guys, they have been ok so far, but I am a little sus on the car particularly advertising it as a Series IV, but it is only advertising... what counts is how good the car is, or isn't.

Does anyone know who to back track the car with Chassis and engine number. They seemed a little reluctant to give me the previous owners details too. I'm still waiting on them and to my knowledge they have to supply it.

    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
    • Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?
    • I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
    • Basically, if there is a part# on the nissan catalogue, it is a genuine part. There is a thing called "new old stock" which is stuff made years ago but never sold (or landfilled), but it is super hit and miss what you can buy. Other than some expensive Nismo stuff there is nothing new being made that suits these cars. The only time to be a little careful is (mostly in the US I think, but maybe Japan too), Nissan started rebranding some cheap crap maintenance parts like oil filters as "Pitworks"; stay away from them, if you are buying cheap just buy whatever the local car parts shop carries The three part numbers have an explanation on Amayama: 0V005 is auto, base style 0V015 is manual 0V505 is auto, hectic momo branded ones, maximum F&F points there!
