thanks for that steve....looks good on the Dell 22"

Port Adelaide was exactly where I was thinking but trying to find an area with no or very little traffic could be an issue......unless its 4am.

Over a bridge to get that curved effect then photoshop the car out, leaving the stove trails, would be good but you don't want another car crossing while the shutter is still open.

love that shot :P

thanks i would upload the full res pic only its about 6mb......

as for the wheels they were nice till i lent out the car and it had a bang, so there off getting repaired now, god knows what theyll come back like

you dont have to edit it in photoshop mate if the shutter is open long enough theyll just be a stripe :P

how do u get the light trail??

you just use a tripod and a long shutter speed if you look at this one closely

IMG_0106.jpg

youll see that theres a white line on it where i was actually on the way back before the shutter closed.

wow that is trippy! how long till the shutter closes?

wat camera?

i want one! lol

im using a 400d

about 2mins it was open maybe 3

cool.....do you remember what shutter speed you used and what speed the car drove away approx.

shutter speed was 3"2.... drove away at drag launch after sitting for about 30seconds

mick what size n offsets are your cr kai's?

any side on pics that show the angle of the spokes?

wheels are 18" x 9.5 all round offset of 30 i think will have to double check the offset though... let me find a pic...

hmm, ok.....so was the shutter open during the 30 secs that you sat there cause I would've thought the car would be visible if that was the case

it was.... i was tryin to get the lights to be a bit brighter. car would only be still there if i stayed for more then half of the shutter or it was brighter out i think could be wrong though, dont really know why its not...

thanks for the info....always good to ask which saves us experimenting too much

best one so far, shame its an old pic lacking a lot of mods. but as strange as it sounds, to get a good pic of ur car, its not about the car. u need to consider background, theme, time of day, locations of the objects in the image, etc. quickly taking a snap in ur driveway after u washed it wont cut it :P

and i managed to take this on a shitty 2mp nokia.

btw its not a skyline

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
