Blitz I-color Extra Options

Once in a while we need to post really stupid questions. Heres mine.

Im curious, does the Blitz i-color need a control box to be able to plug in extra sensors? If so, whats it called?

For example, could i buy 1 temp and 1 press sensors for oil press and oil temp so i can use the i-color as a gauge instead of cluttering the inside of my car. Do i need a control box of some sort to plug everything into or can it all plug directly into the i-color?

Thats what i understand as well from what ive read. My mechanic says differently though which is why im confused. He hasnt seen 1 before though
