Scatching's comment about self expression not being constitutionally covered is important guys. You can't rip heli's on public roads, but within reason you can fully express yourself here.

Not if we descend further and further into a police state. Off topic, but that's just f**ked.

People want to talk about cops unfairly cracking down hoons because "normal" people drive fast (like the two middle aged Commodore drivers that killed that old couple in a Camry on the Great Western Highway in Sydney), but its just a part of the systematic removal of our freedoms.

Back on topic, I would agree that these guys should have been busted for speeding and the like (even if, like Matt, I disagree with construction zone speed limits being active when there's no actual construction taking place) but calling them "hoons" is a bit rich.

Wonder if the cops are going to impound this car for hooning...

It's obvious she was hooning, lost control taking a corner, ploud through people, almost killing a baby in the process, definately hooning, at least the elderly woman's driving style meets the criteria declared for hooning by definition.

It might be worth noting that in Australia, we dont have a section in our constitution covering freedom of, or expression of free speach.

Therefore, truly, we can NOT self express ourselves in which ever way we decide fit, because we can not be offensive in our expression. There was a teenager arrested just recently for 'expressing an opinion' on a T-shirt. The shirt was highly offensive, but the text on the shirt was purely opinion based, but the offensive nature was what he was arrested for.

For those who are interested, the shirt said "Jesus is a C**t".

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
