Where To Buy Ag Pipe?

Hi all,

It's the same old story- I'm using the standard R33 airbox but I've got a front-mount intercooler. So, no snokel for me.

I was considering buying something like this from nengun:

but I figure it would be cheaper (and quicker) to make my own.

So, where is the best place to get 100mm unlsotted (no little holes in it) ag pipe? None of my small, local hardware shops have it.

not sure on ag pipe,

but bunnings sells 100mm alluminium air con ducting that would work for you

Hmm, not a bad idea. Only thing is I'm not sure how I'd go about bending it to suit my setup and still maintaining the pipe diameter. Going to need to have a few bends- planning to use the holes from the old side mount intercooler to feed to airbox.

the stuff im refering to is ridged like the AG pipe, just in alloy. so it bends and retains its shape pretty well.

the one thing is how to mount it without crushing it as its stiffness is lower than AG pipe- but the benefit is its easier to get tighter bends.

still - even the normal ag pipe with small holes in it will provide additional airflow regardless, and less chance of water build up in wet weather.

I just replaced my intercooler with a blitz lm return piping cooler, just jap stealth intercoolers are the same configuration but cheaper.

bunnings, reese, burdens, (plumbing shops) will all have 100mm ag, in 10m rolls

-may be able to buy a metre or 2 from a plumber in the car park rather than buy a whole 10mtr roll

Purple Pig & pirtek, may have something similar but will be more $$$$
