Thats Ken alright LOL.

If you get the chance, tag along with him to the Worldsend for a few beers. He's real entertaining then.

If its around exam/swotvac time, buy him a few rounds and get some tips on key points in the exam. I passed with mostly D and HD thanks to Ken.

Other lecturers are just monotone and boring ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

John Medlin for Accounting is fantastic too. :) He liked my work so much he had me tute throughout the 2007 calendar (yes, I know I hate tutors and I became one LOL). The people who came to my tutes were in the highest pass grades for the year  Accounting IS a ballbreaker, I'm the first to admit that, but if you stay on top of the work in advance, then a Distinction pass is in easy reach.

LOL. Been there done that!

Try not to fall asleep during the Marketing lectures

Try to get Ken Adams for the economics classes/lectures. He's the one to see for a high pass.

cheers for the heads up :)

and yeah john medlin was pretty good too..i hated accounting..i dont know how ppl could do it for a living but each to their own ayy lol

oh and did any one have Luke Faulkner for Introduction To Management??? hes a bit odd

yeh i had luke for the 1st half of this year!! he is a bit odd i agree but i think he is better than a lot of the uni lecturers!! i petty much knew all the management stuff anyways seeing as i had been taking management type subjects since about year 10!!

i got an exam 2nite n one fri then i gotta drive to sydney... shit lol!

I work at the Uni does that count?

No. Especially not, if you're one of those Campus Central workers!

Its a better field in Administration/Bookkeeping where you get to make business decisions and forecasts. I couldn't imagine being an Accountant 9-5, 5 days a week and just doing mostly tax stuff. :)

I do PC support for a bunch of accountants as part of my job.... one of the told me a doozy of a joke the other day...

Q: What do accountants use as birth control?

A: Their personality.

Heh

-D

No. Especially not, if you're one of those Campus Central workers! :)

Ah damn... then you won't like me. Only kidding i'm not at Campus Central, actually i'm at the 'other' uni. But I did have to deal with campus central when I did my degree at unisa.. lol, campus central - i remember them ... grrrrr.

Q. What do you call 500 accountants at the bottom of the ocean?

A. A good start.

An optimist sees the glass as half full; a pessimist sees the glass as half empty.

An accountant sees the glass as twice the size it needs to be.

:)

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
