Cleaning Rear Bumper (Running Rich)

Hey all,

Just wondering what everyone out there who runs a little rich does to get the damn brown stain off their bumper without hurting the paint.

Open to ideas and before anyone asks, Power FC is waiting to go in at the moment so no suggestions like get proper air/fuel management ....

De Greaser or polish Steve uses on his white R33 once a week

Degreaser wont hurt the paint ? I'm too scared to even use degreaser on the blue insides on my rims, let alone on the body of the car .... it wont do anything tho ?

just use a good polish or a polish cleaner , then wax and next time it will be easier to remove .

if u r pipe is a little short u 'll get it on all the time ,if the pipe is in line with the end of the b-bar ( legal ) u wont get as much .

Yeah i have a white r33 and the rear bar gets filthy, basically just lighly polish the rear bar about every 2 weeks.

Mine just hoses/wipes off with a cloth whenever I wash the car. I've got a good coat of wax on it though, probably the reason why it comes off so easy.

Car wash doesnt work for me.

I use Multi-wash by AutoGlym, just spray it on, and it drips right off! No scrubbing!

then I apply another coat of wax...

just wet a rag with metho and put in a little elbow grease - doesn't take off any clear coat (like cutting), but gets them damn brown stains off...

i have a big ricey RG Racing Gear emblem kinda metal plate there and that gets brown...not the paint of my bumper...works a treat cause it cleans easily n e zorst can get pretty damn hot after a long day of driving ay

I polish it off with turtle car wax, works perfect

Yeah mate as said any polish (I prefer Mothers) and a little elbow grease will get it off for you!!

get a little degreaser (diluted with water 10:1) into one of those spray bottles... give it a quick rub then wash it off... my black rear bar was all smudgy from fumes. no amount of washing took it off until i used the degreaser.

it worked so well, i ended up putting a few capfulls into the carwash bucket and washing the whole car - for that serious all-over clean.

most degreasers have acid in them continued use may damadge ur paintwork .
