OK - So I have my N1 block and forged pistons etc. and am in the midst of having the bottom end prepared. The target for this engine is as much power down low as possible without increasing its capacity to 2.8 o 3litres. Hoping to make 350 ~ 380kw though this is just a figure to work towards. Power down low is the priority.

Should I get my machinst to fit main bearing studs? The car may do its odd track day.

for the minimal cost and while engine can be line honed, i would do it if you want near 400 kw, even though technically you could possibly do with out it. Total cost would probably be approx 300 for studs and what 80ish for a line hone (need to ask you machinist this)
