Hey guys,

I bought a a pillar boost gauge holder a few months back from high_performance_importz.

I payed for it but NEVER recieved the item. Shortly after his account said "no longer a registered ebay user". I couldnt leave feedback because of this.

I saved him as a favourate seller and today recieved an email saying he has new items listed.

Its up to you if you want to go ahead with a sale but i highly recommend you dont.

i bought an electric supercharger (adds huge hp) and super vortex fuel saver (save fuel and add more hp) from the same guy.....

.....actually nah, i didn't.

sorry to hear about your misfortune. did you contact Ebay and notify them?

I live in nsw hes in qld.

I deposited the money into his account and I STILL HAVE THE RECIEPT

Yes i told ebay.

There wasnt much they could do because he wasnt a registered ebay user anymore. Now that hes back im gona see what i can do.

atleast now everyone has to use pay pal, should be the same on forums, if your selling something you have to list your pay pal account as a payment method.

Paypal is good for the buyer but absolutely shits me off as a seller - you sell something on ebay you need to pay a LISTING fee to put it up and then you got to pay ebay ANOTHER fee when the auction ends which is a certain percentage of the total and then if the buyer pays by paypal then paypal charges another percentage of the total - and the annoying thing is ebay OWNS paypal therefore more profit for them! and ebay was attempting to make paypal as the only means of payment the other month but didnt but instead made it that every seller has to list paypal as an option. Ridiculous. I could go on more.

/end rant

I'm with you, hate the Paypal option when you're selling something. I'm glad they decided (were forced?) not to make people have to use Paypal and get stung with all of the fees. Because it has to be one of the options though I would say a lot of buyers will use it for protection. Basically it ends up being the same result ebay, more fees/ money for them. Sucks how the scammers ruin things for the honest sellers. I guess it will help the ebusinesses out there get their money and keep track of things but surely they will get hit slightly harder with fees too.

LOOK what they sell http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbo-Whistler-Fake...1QQcmdZViewItem If link dont work item number: 320274736961

I think we all need this item to be cool.

I have sold a few things through ebay, been payed through paypal and never been charged a fee by paypal, perfect option for me when selling or buying.

how about eveyone how reads this sends him an email and ask him to send the item to wet-25t (we will need your ebay user name)if there is alot of emails he mite get the idea....

Hahahaha some funny comments up there.

I lost $27.50 including postage in total. Its not much but i really didnt want to screw my boost gauge into the a piller. After being ripped off i ended up doing just that which is the most annoying part about it all.

Anyways thanks for the support guys, and even though im not getting my money back or the item, i feel better that ive done what i can by letting others know it could happen to them.

Hes the first person to rip me off and before him i was never worried. Now i try to only buy items that i can pick up because i dont have paypal.

Thanks again

Corey.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
