Hey guys,

I have an Impul front bumper ( the damged one, has now been fixed and in primer))

but ive called 3 shops in redcliiffe (( one of which fixed my damage from when someone keyed it))

and yet, they have all quoted a amount i didnt think possible just to paint a front bumper..

one quoted 400.. but subject to change when inspected, the ther 385 ( again subject to change) and the last quote 550 (( all said thats jsut painting the bumper, not fitting etc etc (( it came off a SAU members car so fitting is not an issue for me)

now im sorry i cant see how a simple spray and colour match can cost that much...

so can anyone recommend to me somewhere that is sensible yet does a fantastic job?

or is this simply what it costs to paint a front bumper???

thanks in advance,

Bryn

You mean fog-light holes.....the lights were gone when the car arrived hahaha

3 or 4 yrs ago you could get a front bar resprayed for around $200...unfortunately as with everything else the cost of labour has gone up significantly as well.

Tried DMD or Camerons bodyworks or JEtspeed in Slacks Creek? If you want a proper job then I reckon $300-$400 is quite reasonable.

I got cameron to quote on spray painting my bootlid and fixing up some rust and welding up the holes for the wing last year and that was quoted at close to $600.

the reason its so much is cause its fiberglass, im a painter n seriously there a prick to work on, there full of pin holes n wavey and you cant put heat on them cause it makes them warp n crack.. i primed and blocked a monkey warehouse (considered good quality) 180sx BN front bar 4 times and it still looked dodgey.. its just one of those things where its worth someone doin it properly.. where are you located? we dont like doin them but we like workin on good cars so yeh

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
