Hey guys, I am trying to run a dyno day for the aus300zx guys. We are a little short on numbers at the moment so figured I'd open it up to SAU members as well.

DETAILS:

DATE/TIME: Saturday 23rd August. Starts at 10am and will finish up whenever we run out of cars.

LOCATION:

RE CUSTOMS

16 Yiannis Court

Springvale 3171

COST: $45 for 3 power runs.

RE customs will be running a barbecue also.

At present I am trying to organise some prizes, will let you all know how that goes.

Currently we are about 5 cars short of our target number. I need 15 cars confirmed by Monday August 11th. If we don't get these numbers then I will have to cancel the day as it becomes too expensive for the workshop to run a dyno day with a small amount of cars. I will let you know if I do have to cancel.

If you are interested in coming along to run your car on the dyno post up here or pm me so I can add you to the list.

Thanks, hope to see you there.

i have a mate who might be interested....will let you know asap

yeah i saw your event in the Vic members section, would love to do another gor run but i'd already booked this day in. hopefully some non members will come to this, we're up to 14 now, just need one more definite and we are good to go.

cool cool. let me know as soon as you find out how many are 100% coming to run their cars on the dyno. If they change their minds let me know, because if I book in the dyno session with Ray and we don't make it to 15 cars then I have to run my car again or pay the difference.

unfortunately a few people dropped out and we no longer have enough cars to run this event, we will be running another one later in the year so I will post up a new thread when we figure out a date. admin's can lock/move this thread if needed

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
