welcome mate!

i swear you should've got a rwd! awd is boring, with a rwd you fly into a corner at high speeds, you can get rid of the understeer with a bit of throttle, then keep it on the limit of grip by balancing the throttle and then it's time to call for a tow truck!

Welcome mate!! This lot will instill the knowledge of the skyline in your head :)

haha , this is my first manual car so i thought id start out somewhere :P

Nothing to blush about mate, thats a great attitude...You've gotta learn to crawl before you can walk and learn to walk before you can run...Step it up slowly and gain respect for the car and what it can do! Remember with great power comes great responsibility!!! :(

That's just begging for a DEt conversion - baby GTR! (hey Steve) :)

yeah thats right Lee baby GTR ftw

ohh dont get Steve started haha, Full autech conversion Steve? :P

rofl well i have GTR guards to go on just need bonnet front bar reo :( rear pumpage

mate , the rims are the utmost FIRST THING GOING OFF THE CAR

i cant stand the size and offset at all , makes it look like a go cart at the front :(

thats what its getting after new wheels and tint

with an rb30 bottom end of course ;)

Rb30 isnt an easy exercise in the GTS4 as the standard pelnum will foul the bonnet and you will need a adapter plate to fit the sump on

>>Like This One<<

Kid knows his stuff. RB25/30 FTW. Wanna buy some drift teks? :)

sorry Damo unless the previous owner has done the 5stud conversion on it no love for you

well i highly recommend Boostworx for fitting up the new hubs

will cost you about 3k-4kfor a 5stud conversion that will get you hubs, rotors, callipers and rims and probably tires

i did my 5stud in about 3 stages and bought 2nd hand rims to try and keep the cost down and the callipers and rotors i bought from a dude wrecking his car and the hubs i bought @ 50% off due to a wrecker having a closing down moving sale :P be thrifty and you may get the job done cheaper like me

Hello and welcome, and congrats on getting a GTS4 :P

but can you imagine a non turbo awd would be more fun than a rwd? gtr's though, boring? no! mainly because when i did drive one i felt i had to live up to expectations, it was more intense than joyful! maybe because it wasn't my car but with a rwd even though not as fast as a gtr but knowing you can easily fck up and do fck up is a hardcore adrenalin pumping moment of oh shit i almost hit the tree! that's how i feel anyway, like when i drove a ss with tsc off, maybe not as quick as skyline around the bends but it was exciting because i didn't care about keeping up to the skyline infront of me! i was in my own little world being throttle happy :)

    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
    • There is a warning that "this thread is super old" but they ignore that anyway...
    • With 10% Ethanol, we're talking 2-3% fuel consumption difference. The emissions reductions and octane boost in my opinion far outweigh this almost non existent loss.    My tanks sitting at 80%. Luckily that should go down fast as I'm on vacation again for the next two weeks.
