Hey all,

As the topic title says, Nige from the FM104.7 breakfast crew bought himself a black Auto R32 Gtst some time ago with the intention of turning it into a drift car.

However his dream was cut down yesterday morning as the R32 was stolen while he was on air doing the show. :O

We all know how much people get attached to their Skylines (I know I am) so if anyone has any information or sees a black R32 Gtst with stock rims, Jax Quickfit and Federal Tyres stickers on it getting around Canberra or surrounds, make sure you contact myself and I will call Nige or contact the radio station immediatly.

P.S. If anyone sees a Black R32 Gtst for sale for cheap (or parts) please let myself or Nige know.

You can call the radio station on (02) 6242 1047

Pics to come...

I dont think it was taken from the radio station, he usually drives his Magna to work... I think it got taken from outside his house.

By the way the rego is - BEB 13G

Also if anyone knows of a cheap Manual R32 Gtst for sale please let me know. :O

Well... from Mick's post in the spotted thread, I realised I MAY have seen this car yesterday morning.

There were two males in the car. The driver had black hair about 6-7cm long which was either straight or slightly wavy, and stood up off his head (nearly like a fro, but they didn't look african american, looked more lebanese/similar - something with a fairer complexion). They both had a fairly dark tan or natural complexion, the passenger looked very similar, possibly shorter hair, or shaven head. Not much info ... hopefully helps though. Please note I hold no particular thoughts as to skin colour etc, just doing a 5h1tty job at describing what I saw... I hope these ppl are caught if it WAS indeed them.

I didn't catch any other detail as I was turning across the intersection and couldn't gawk while turning (plus, the car looked pretty 'plain-jain', so maybe I didn't pay too much attention, other than wondering if they'd seen me wave (twice)).

Great news!

This morning Nige called me to let me know that his Skyline has been recovered by ACT Police!

Apparently the idiot who stole it, took it to a wrecker (who had nothing to do with the theft) and asked him to strip the car so that he (the thief) could use the parts for his own R32 Gtst...

The wrecker thought that it was suspicious that someone would ask him to strip a perfectly good car and called the police, however he had already pulled nearly everything off or out of the car beforehand.

The thief has been aprehended and Nige will be reimbursed for any damages or loss.

Thanks to all who kept their ears to the ground and an eye out for this car, it is much appreciated! :(

Cheers :P

Mick

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
