Hey guys, got a but of a problem just ran my vin number through the nissan fast program which came back showing it was manufactured on the 3rd month of 1998.

I then went to my car and had a look at the compliance sticker and its stated on that the cars date of manufacture is the first month of 1998...

I am a bit lost on why this could be..

Can anyone shed some light on my little problem??

Thanks :P

G'day Ross,

It could be mistake on paperwork when it was imported?

Who imported the 33? (Importer details might be on the Compliance plate)

If in doubt, contact DOTARS (number in import/compliancing section of this forum).

Hope it helps.

Cheers

p.s. - you sure have put up heaps of topics lately!

haha yer im new leave me alone :P

well there are no details on the compliance sticker about the importer so im not sure

Did you bought it from a dealer (Awesome Autos in Seaford by any chance?)?

If you're worried about build plate and compliance plate not matching you could contact Dept of Transport and ask

http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...cles/index.aspx there's phone number floating somewhere in this site.

Hope it helps.

yes lol got it from that place!

:P how did you know?

I went to this place to talk about trading in my 32 GTST and saw this, I'd be driving around in this if it was manual. I ended up buying manual one from private seller.

It looked super clean, how has it been treating you so far?

Cheers

haha yer it is very clean, cant get over that coincidence or what small world.

Yer the auto was a bit of a downside but i went looking at a few others although i couldnt find one as clean mine now so i just got it, thinking manual conversion in the future but who knows.

Hows your car going?

Hey,

My 33 is good but requires bit of work, bought it without roadworthy but for price and mods i got it for I couldn't pass it up. So far, still waiting on few parts before visiting mechanic for roadworthy inspection, should be fun.

Have bought fair amount of parts for it and slowly filling the garage.

Feel free to add me on msn to chat more if you'd like ([email protected]) providing if you have and use msn :P

Cheers

Grant

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
