dumps pipes and front pipe will help alot if your getting bigger turbos, Helps with flow

thanks man ill try get some. do you think leave my standard cat? anything that makes it better i will do to it eventually but yea as long as theres nothing i need to upgrade should be fun to get them on and running

^^ Not necessary.... I have STOCK dump pipes, then a veilside exhaust system.

Yes it will flow better but for the power levels here they are not a must.

To answer the question above I am running STOCK internal RB26 motor with a few add ons... Power FC, HKS cams, 550cc injectors, Blitz SBC spec R, M's pods and of course the N1 turbos. My 326kw run was just starting to knock at around 21-22psi. I use 18psi daily which is around 300-310kw

I'm pretty sure a free flowing exhaust's main benefits is not the peak power increase, but rather the boost in midrange. Most people do exhaust first because it's a relatively cheap cost to power increase boost.

Front pipes aren't really important, cat back is very common, but I'd rather the whole lot :P

Most common upgrade sequence I've seen is:

Cat back exhaust, airfilter(pods or high flow panel), turbos/turbos + ecu depending on your turbo choices, ecu if not done yet, injectors, cams, dumps/fronts

Thats just the bolt ons...do internals when they go bang or any point between!

I reckon Ryan (ISC performance) was saying he would go to the 2860 - 10s if he was gonna do it again.... any comment ryan??

But yeah, seat of the pants test in shanes (puresx) GTR, those 2860s (-5s) hit pretty hard! :O

hey bud, Nah I'am definetly happy with the -7. Alot more responsive (same as stock turbo's) with a lot more kick (300rwkw-350rwkw)! I personally wouldn't upgrade to even -5 unless I was going to do cams etc to reduce lag, and then as soon as you start going 350rwkw + your putting alot of stress on an ald engine aswell. broken rb26dett = $$$$$$$$$. I was trying to convince shane to go the -10 as his 26 is completely rebuilt and he loves the kw! haha

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
