hey all im kinda new to Skylines Australia im female and last night 15th Sept 08 i had my beloved R33 stolen while i was training at Enfield Community Centre on regency road.

The time it was stolen was between 8-8:15pm i came out 830 to discover it was not there. There was smashed glass all over the place i parked so im guessing he smashed the drivers side window in.

One of the ladies i train with her 10yr old daughter was sitting in her mums car a couple of cars over from mine and saw a man cannot remember his appearence drove off really fast with my car i believe the man to be of sudanese or ethnic background as we have had a couple of instances of gangs hanging around that area.

i urge anyone who sees my car to let me know. ill post a pic and provide as much info as i can.

Its a black R33 Skyline 2 door, it has for sale stickers on the back window and a carsales for sale sticker on the passanger back window. It has Rays 57R mags gold with a silver outting and offset.

Im so devastated ive been trying to sell it for a while and had it broken into a couple weeks ago. So anyone with information please come forward!!

Thanks again

GL with the find. Unless your really looking for it on the road, its going to be hard to spot unfortunately, there are alot of 33's out there these days.

true but with for sale stickers all over it would make it a bit more obvious?? but you never know i just hope for the best

do you also live in the Enfield area? ill keep my eye out in the north. It doesn't sound like anyone who would strip it, usually they are a bit more discreet then smashing into it in a public carpark.

Sorry to hear about this. I hate car theives more than anything in the world... like you've built your car up to the way you like it and spent lots of $$$ on your pride and joy, then some fkwit who doesn't have a job and spends all his time watching gone in 60 seconds and playing grand theft auto comes along and thinks this is LA or something and wants to inprove his street cred, so he takes it. F@#KING PRICKS GET A JOB AND SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR OTHER PEOPLES STUFF!!!!

Damn - that really sucks. Did you have an immobiliser or any other antitheft products fitted ?

I hope the police find your car quickly !

If it's for sale, have you had anyone come around to inspect it? Usually they'll inspect it, remember the location and even follow the car around until it's parked somewhere and then break into it and steal it. That happened to a mate of mine.

No alarm? Insurance?

Hope you find it in one piece and not burnt out/stripped.

If the car is recovered / found, you should look at increasing the secuirty of your car. As I just posted in another thread about stolen Skylines ...

We are Works Bell Official Exclusive Australian distributor.

Full detail about the Works Bell Rapfix Key Lock System are on our site at

Forced Ignition Immobiliser

Another product we sell which is relevant in this thread is the Forced Ignition Immobiliser ...

large11.jpg

This is the groundbreaking completely passive US-made mil-spec system the industry is buzzing about. It provides defences against both vehicle theft and carjackings, with no buttons to push, no codes to remember, no monthly fees, no calls and no worries.

You may have seen it featured recently in both Fast Fours and AutoSalon magazines.

More info about it is on our site at

The "how it works" page is here ...

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
