As most of you a prob aware by now, my 33 started a boost leak on kellies last cruise,

was thought to be the gasket between the inlet manifold and the turbo,

after much f**king around, snapping studs, and having to go as far as taking the whole turbo out,

i put it all back together over last night and this afternoon,

and the verdict ITS STILL f**kING DOING IT!

and to add fuel to the fire, its blowing a little clack smoke (never used to)

and runs/idles like shit!

im so over this f**king thing,

but, any ideas on whats going on?

if not, ill be taking it to a workshop and let them rape me in the ass,

im not pulling the kent apart again

:)

Im sure you probably have but, have you made sure all your silicon and rubber hoses for the piping are all in good condition when i first bought my car it had a boost leak because a 90 degree rubber elbow for the IC piping had a crack in it.

black smoke means you have a fuel problem, like too much of it. or a vacuum leak stuffing up the air fuel ratio.

could be a hose loose , a fuel regulator stuffed(pretty common on the older skylines) or even a jammed fuel injector, leaking fuel into cyl.

are u sure you didnt forget to plug in a vacuum line or maybe crimped it somehow?

does it run at higher rpm out of gear or stumble bad? under load does it run good or stumble bad?

kinda hard to troubleshoot without see it in person but hope this helps the hunt

pull your afm off put a freezer bag over it and then reinstall it.

then pump some compressed air into your vacum line to your fuel reg and listen for where the air is coming from.

doing this will presurise your whole engine and every vac and pressure hose on the car.

takes 2 minutes and prob solved.

You know, it'd prob be something so simple and obvious in the end! :)

Do as Dangerman says and then start at the filter and work your way thru slowly.

Could it also simply be that you've shagged the turbo?
