i dont know what your aiming at but i have to defend my self from the P plater image.

i Fully own a R33 GTS-t and a 1997 Ford EL Futura(travel car). and i pay over 3000 a year total on insurance. i still tell people that im paying it off just so i dont get the daddy's car rumor going. i happend to inherited enough money to buy my dream car by the time i was 18.

sorry if i miss uderstood your msg.

on another note. cops in general are ass holes. i have been pulled over 22 times to date. the day i got my car i was pulled over 7 times. was asked to get the lift out of my exhaust end (the irect look) but couldn't get in to do it for another 4 days. the best thing to do is auctually go down to the police station and talk to them about it. said i was getting my car fixed ass soon as possible. also went down there the day i got my cooler put in just to show them in the park.

if your getting hasled the best thing to do is show them you dont give a shit.

second... the street racing thing. i met up with a couple of Perf. car owners down here, there is no were for us to legally have fun. even after appoching the council and police we were put down with lafter. something needs to be done. at the moment the only time im game enough to give the car abit of a fang is in my driveway in neutral. yet a vl can soar passed the cops tailgating me with cut springs, no exhaust, loud stereo, ricy nion shit and P plates on the window. yet heven forbid if i put it above 2K revs.

yeah na i waswnt directing it a p platers as i am also one payin g off my car and paying bout 3500 insurance a year for my r32gtst

the continuall police harrasment is ridiculous and the police should target the commodore drivers cause there the ones that wrap automatics with like 50rwkw around trees the police are just pissed off that we own better cars than them

i wrote that a month ago but i think i was actually refering to the article saying how all the cars were imports and then mentioning a gtr ?? so they were implying that all these kids are hella rich ...which i very much doubt ... i've never seen one of these street race things but i would assume its mostly VNs and fords... so yeah i think u did take it the wrong way ... doesn't matter ...its all good ... and even if u had rich parents i wouldn't care ... more power to u ... its none of my business ...

A P plater with a High Performance sports car... pfft how about you learn to drive first then get a powerful car.. this goes for any performance car be it a V8 or Twin Turbo.

And dont give me this bullsh*t about "I can drive, I am great blah blah blah"

A person on there P's has no where near enough experience to properly handle a performance car if the going gets tough.

Minimum you should be made to do an advanced driver course. For that fact anyone should be made to do it.

The fact that police are targetting imports over locally delivered cars sucks, but I can sure see there point.. you can pick up a R32 GTSt for as little as 15k and this will eat nearly any V8 LS1 commodore out there valued at triple the value... e.g. Imports are cheap and easy for P platers to get hold of.

If you don't like it well meh live with it because it is not about to change ever.

Rob.

im not syaing and have ever said i was a good driver. i know how far i can go and it aint anywere near as far as what the car can go so dont give me that shit. you leave a great first inpression for someone visiting this forum.

and when you say the "when the going gets tough" if your not speeding how tough could it get. the occational panic break or kid dodge.

ive been rallying for nearly 5 years. ive been driving a late model ford since i was 16. i got the skyline this year and i can tell you know only the bravest people can push them to there limit.

i wouldn't mind doing an advanced driver course and i have been looking for to it happening hopefully soon.

another reaon they go for us import drivers is how much we stand out. whats easier to see, a commodores ass end or a skylines. the skylines unique and stand out for miles.

im not syaing its going to change. whats the point of winging here if i wanted it to change.

anyway every one has there opinions. by the way thanks hippy for not taking it to heart.

Alot of defects are based around emission laws.. Australia is starting to get really harsh on these laws partly because they dont want our air turning into what Japan has. After removing the cat.. all the shit that would normally b absorbed through the honeycomb stuff goes into our air instead.. same laws go for BOV's emissions need to be burnt back into the exhaust.. im not sure what other emissions defects are out there to get us.

The one defect i have never been able to understand is the defecting of turbo timers.. i see nothing wrong with them considering a lot of trucks etc.. use them.

Timmayyy: I agree however if they made these driving courses compulsory and then awarded completion of it with a pass or fail ( and not revealing score), then there is nothin really to brag about when passin it and hopefully young drivers wouldnt become too ****y.

yea thats a good point dean.

i can never see this being approved though.

Wouldn't want to make our drivers skill level any better.

Lets target the cars that are well maintained and meet safety standard and the ones that dont have any rust instead.

Sound like a good ida.

We should dress up in cop uniforms and defect all teh fags in POS's down at the bay hehehehe

I would so be in on a protest.....

I mean people all this stuff is getting out of hand with cops and their ego's and them not practising wot they preach, its a load of B.S.

My old man knows a few pollies and has met with them before etc. so i will ask him wot he thinks of the idea.....

We need to take action because if continue to use SAU as a bitchin ground we are gonna get no where, we are all just bending over and taking it and i dunno about the rest of you but i'm sick of it!

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
