Hey guys, just thought i would post some pictures of my new car for you to see. It is a 1995 s1.5 R33 Gts-t. Let me know what you think.

Bit of Background:I bought the car for $5500 two days ago. It is unregistered and there are a few things I need to do to it before it passes pits (New GTR Bumper, Sort out radiator issues and idle problems). It is stock apart from the inter cooler and boost gauge and spoiler (and the r34 engine transplant). Taken it for a drive though and I can not believe a stockish car can pull so hard!!! Anyway here are the pics..hope u like.

ps. I am selling the rims. They are apparently the wrong offset for R33 (previous owner put them on). If anyone knows how to identify the offset could they let me know. Thanks.

Yeah i felt i got a fairly good deal :merli: I do drive a hard bargain lol. Yeah i already checked that the car can be registered. Basically i got it through a friend of a friend who was too lazy to sell it. It had been sitting outside his house for 8 months cos he lost his license and then he let it fall out of rego so it became hard to sell. There are a few problems with it though. The idle is the main problem. The engine conversion looks like its been done in someones back yard. The idle control valve isnt even plugged in and i took it apart the other day and the solenoid was rusty. Basically you cant let the car drop below 1500 rpm or it will stall. Doesn't make for great fuel economy lol.

btw thanks Mr Fanny for that info on the wheel offset. Ill go and check it now. The problem is the wheels do scrape at hard lock. Its such a shame because i think they suit the car perfectly. Anyway hopefully i will be able to find something similar to fit properly.

Here is a pic of the engine bay. Will hopefully be putting a powerfc into it soon to get rid of the idle problem. They used all the r33 wiring and computer with the r34 engine so hopefully a full ecu replacement will fix the issues. Got to book it in at Hyperdrive.

Dude an R33 with a neo conversion for 5.5. Tell me where you buy these things, ill take two! I see the traction control has been done away with. Good idea!

Haha. As I said it was a lucky buy and the seller was lazy, just wanted the cash.

Seriously, that's a great buy!

How many Kms?

Existing wheels actually suit it!

166000Kms Yeah i think the wheels look great but they scrape when i turn hard right. guys at the pits would pick up on that fairly quickly i think and it would drive me mad. If you know anyone selling similar rims to suit a skyline i would be interested.

Hey guys this probably isnt the right place to post questions but do you think wheel spacers would solve my offset problems? There is someone selling a set of 15mm ones here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/br...66#entry4175366

Thanks in advance

Dude thats a f**king steal. My friend bought that car about a year ago for 13k.....then he sold it to some clueless asian bloke apparently which I assume is the person u bought it from? Apparently he almost burned the clutch and drained the battery trying to get out of my mates driveway haha.

But nah that car is (or was) f**king clean and the engine is good just needs the shit around it fixed like the idle control

That is so funny you said that. The clutch is brand new cos it was burned out and i had to buy a new battery cos the other one wouldnt even turn the radio on. If you know anything about the engine conversion could you let me know? I am trying to find out as much as I can. Also did your friend look into fixing the idle problem? I was hoping he had found how to fix it but never got round to it :)

Also did your mate have problems with the heater cos I found it was disconnected. I went and bought new hoses and have plumbed it all back up but it seems to go hot and then cold. I am hoping its an air lock in there so i dont need to replace the whole heater core!

EVEN MORE INTERESTING THREAD NOW...

That means that after you fix a few things up, the car will be worth >DOUBLE!! :) Tez

Fixed the heater problem!!! Perfect hot air all the time now and no more bubbles from the radiator lol. Thanks to raps86 for all his help! And yes. hopefully when i seill it in a year or two i will get my money back lol. wouldnt that be a dream.

Im not too sure what it is scraping, it isnt the side panels tho. The car is too low to see under it. Anyone know of a way i could check this in my backyard? Maybe put it up on two jacks and test the steering like that? I would be a bit worried at how stable that would be tho.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
