Well I am officially out.

I've left it to the last minute to try and make it but it looks like the earliest i can get the car tuned and ready will be on the Saturday of the event. Not fu(king happy!!!

Now does anyone know of any other track days before Xmas? :-)

Aww that suxs!! I so wanna go but have other club presentation dinner on :)

Yeah come do the driver training day (Luffy Day) with us on 20th at OP!

Spewing Bobbeh :P

Tell me about it mate. I was really REALLY looking forward to it!

Jess, I'm trying to get a spot at the Circuit Club day at Wakie the week before and if that falls through OP it is!

If worse comes to worse I'm taking a day off and doing a speed off the streets day at Wakie, cause i will definitely be doing a track day before the years over!

Aww Brad is doing that one I will be in Adelaide at that time so missing out :P

HAHA Nice!!!

What's the Circuit Club day at Wakie? Who's running this one?

The Circuit Club are running it Michele http://www.circuitclub.com.au/

It's on 13th December but I think its full as I was lucky to get Brad in on that day there days sell out fast. :)

They run regular days and are great bunch of people and have there own magazine they publish each month :P

Michele, the CC day is their 5th anniversery - I think it's the 12th?

That's the one Chubbs, the 5th anniversary day. It's definitely full but I'm hoping someone pulls out last minute :-)

I'm pretty sure though it's the 13th. Cause the 12th is a Friday.

I don't see myself putting money down to get my car on the track so I think I might go watch. :teehee:

I'm going for a Speed off the Streets day at Wakie on the 11th of Dec if you want a Skyline to be faster than :(

So why are you pulling out Steve?

Cause i dont like kids

lol, ok ill be serious;

Supra is on bald, and i mean bald tyres. Its crying for a wheel alignment, exhaust to be fixed, new brakes all round, needs a new fire extinguiser after deca

All that to be done and not enough time, anyway i really only wanted to hold the space for the r32

You know me im happy to drive with a few things in mind (like remembering it will mildly understeer and oversteer from stuffed tyres at times etc) but the car overall is in need of the work to be done before driving it fastish again, the brakes are the biggest concern, the warning light comes on everytime i use the brakes. Needless to say ive been using the commodore a lot lately and the supra's gathering dust. One car in the workshop at a time is enough IMO

Im getting tired of the supra being so stock at events like this aswel, the r32 is what i want to use at these sort of events :P

Ill 99% be spectating though

If you remember Matt, drop me a PM a few days before.

Don't know about being faster though, haven't been on the track since the SAU day earlier this year and that was in a V35.

It'll be my first time out in the GTR :-)

When are you guys travelling up? We'll be camping at McPhillamy Park from Friday night, prolly get there around 7ish to set up.

At this stage, Mark will be a few hours behind me in the GTR, so if anyone wants to help set up tents and get the car out... I won't say no LOL

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
