How To: Install Clear Indicators On Your 35

Recommended Posts

All,

I got photo happy when installing my genuine nissan Clear indicators. I hope this helps someone else out. It will take you less than 15 minutes, all I used was a screwdriver and a rag (to clean up gunk behind old indicators).

Parts:

Step 1 - Pop out old light (be careful not to scratch)

Step 2 - Once Light is out disconnect the bulb from the surround by turning 45 degrees

Both indicators side by side

Step 3 - Remove the old bulb - DO NOT TUG ON WIRES!. Use the plugs for leverage please and a screw driver like pictured if it is stubborn.

Step 4 - Clean up gunk that built up behind old indicator (only necessary if you are anal like me)

Step 5 - All Clean

Step 6 - Test

Hopefully it works.

Step 7 - Insert bulb into the indicator (will only go in one way). You will then need to lock the bulb into place by turning back 45 degrees.

Step 8 - Place indicator back in place

Step 9 - Firmly press in and your done on the first side.

Step 10 - Rinse and Repeat with other side. You will need to turn the wheel back the other way first or your wheel will get in the way.

All done. Make sure to test again, then go for a drive to further test.

Is the provided yellow bulb bright enough during daytime compared to OEM bulb?

Seems fine to me the whole indicator still lights up. Ill drop an extra pic in later to show you.

It is a Nissan bulb so should be sweet.

hey dude, thanks for sharing, appreciate it!

btw which site did u order that through or did u go through nissan parts!?

Got mine off an EBAY seller in the states. $55 delivered.

They are more expensive now due to exchange rates. Beware of the real cheap non genuine items!

How cool was that? What a great idea to do that instructional thread...

Did you really use that large of a Screwdriver?

and

What wheels are they, are they standard?

Sorry, still learning, but looks good.. and thanks.

they are standard, though they are darker than mine for some reason.

I reckon they look too good to me to replace,so I've just kept them!

That was the screwdriver i used.

They are the 18" factory rims. Mine are darker than most. It's just a coating as there is a chip on one (you can see in the pics).

hey guys,

thinking of buying these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-INFINIT...emZ120315047245

do they seem legit?

well the pic looks legit to me - for a sedan.

if they are legit and you get them for that price it's a steal.

I say pay with Paypal and if they aren't genuine as advertised then lodge a dispute.

Yep that's the guy i bought mine off. I got mine a bit cheaper when the $AUD was a bit higher.

Considering ordering off Nissan costs a heap more than that even $70 is a good price. I got mine 7 days after paying.
