Although production values have improved i'm still waiting for something interesting to happen or maybe even a decent review..

It's pretty Charlie cox atm.

commodores again next week....lmao

i still cant stand it.. australia just doesnt get enough good cars.. and we dont have good enough roads.. and honestly, what is with the test track?? surely someone will let them on a proper race track like oran park or something..

and another thing... did anybody actually see what the mercedes looked like?? all i saw were artsy camera angles and contrast changes... my eyes were hurting trying to focus and catch a glimpse of whether it was a 2 door or 4 door..

was good to see them rubbish the stupid bmw "thing" though.

that was about all i saw, heck, it makes idol almost worth watching.. atleast i know the judges on it and they have their own characters.

the whole idea of the test track is to make a track that pushes the cars to its limits. so a long straight to test the higher speeds, some corners with sudden changes in direction, to test the chassis and brakes, etc. not just a track that is nice and flowing where all cars might do well. that is why the UKTG track was designed by lotus.

you can joke about more commodores but i think the 427 is going to be a serious bit of gear. i don't like holdens but even i am will to admit that the new 427 is going to have some serious go.

lol the porsche thing is classic. They had one of their engineers go out and try to get a decent time. While nissan use an actual racing driver and they wonder why they can't get near the time?

I still can't wait for these 8 episodes to be over so I can go back to watching the Uk top gear. Clarkson, May and Hammond make top gear what it is.

for me it still sucks arse . its gotten to the point that it doesnt matter what they do on the show the hosts themselves taint it by being soo annoying . last month the cars were at least interesting . these guys claim to be able to drive but so far ive seen nothing to indicate that at all .

and blaming roundabouts on the english ? wtf ? australia needs more roundabouts to get rid of all the traffic lights . keeps traffic moving for gods sake . he admitted that aussies dont know how to use them but blamed the english for australia for having them ?

everything they say has no credibility at all , sooner the show dissappears forever the happier i will be

who happens to be an expert on the ring.

eitherway they should both do their laps at the same time (obviously with a gap between cars so there is no slipstreaming) so that each manufacturer can look at the other car.

or even have nissan buy a gt2 from a dealership and have porsche buy a gtr from a dealership so that each company can know for sure that the car is 100% stock and then have them take them to the track and just have nissans driver hop in the gtr and porsche's driver hop in the gt2 and away they go.

ive seen motokhana courses in a carpark that are in better nick than their test track. and the old drift corner at oran park would even be enough to keep a mercedes black on its toes.

if i had $150000 i definatly would not even consider a holden.. i will give them the fact that the cars are much much better in that sort of price range from holden than a normal SS.. but still.. there are much nicer cars out there.

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
