Extra Info: as the title states im looking at trying to sell my 1994 series 1 r33 gts-t nissan skyline. i bought this car back in 2004, I am the second australian registered owner and the first was a sau member. the car had 57000klms on in 2000, 123,000klms when he bought it and now 134k almost all was highway driving. with under 13000 klms since rebuild last year. this car is meticulously maintained and only driven to work twice a week. tuned on shell v-power racing 100 ron fuel and engine oil changed every 4000 kilometers . use only mobil 1 fully synthetic. im in no rush to sell and iam very reluctant.

mods as follows;

ecu; link plus stand alone fully functioning computer $1600 plus tuning. i have receits

550 cc/min injectors,bosche motor sport 600 hp in tank high volume fuel pump.

map sensor, and xr6 turbo boost control solenoid. standard rb25det one couldnt cope!

dual boost control; 17psi low boost equates to 274 rwkws { see dyno chart above}

24psi high boost equates to 346 rwkws. very easy to drive on low boost. a bit of a handfull on high boost.

splitfire high performance coils,these cost me $700 fom nengun.com.au

gt3040 600hp garrett turbo running huge a/r .70 compressor housing and a/r .82 exhaust housing. this is only 1500 kilometers old and cost me $1500 fom gcg turbos in sydney. i have receipts.

tial 38mm external wastegate running two diaphragm springs to acheive 1 bar minimum boost. $400 from magic performance in sydney. this is only 1500 klms old as well.

this whole set up is perched up high on a stainless steel 6 into 1 high mount manifold. custom pipe work consisting of 4 inch into turbo , 2.5 inch from turbo elbow to 600mm x 300mm x 80mm cooling pro intercooler and 3 inch pipe from otherside of cooler into plenum. this all set me back over $2000.

3 inch custom dump pipe from back of turbo, external wastegate plumbed into dump pipe over 30cm down the dump for better flow and less restriction to turbo dump gasses. 4 inch magic cat. 3 inch straight out through japaneese style stainless steel barrel muffler with 4.5 inch outlet. $1200.

driveline: standard 5 speed manual mated to an exedy extreme brass button clutch and lightened flywheel. standard r200 rear end. $1800 fitted.

engine ; rb25det rebuilt with forged wiseco pistons ,fully balanced,resized and fully prepared gtr conrods and arp rod bolts . fully recoed head ,ported .tomei hydraulic lifters , valve springs and 256 degree poncams inlet and exhaust. this is worth an extra 30 rwkws by itself!!

cometic multi layered steel head gasket. $8500 , have receipts. work done less than 13000klms ago.

Also has aftermarket boost, oil temp and oil pressure gauges as well as a greddy/grex oil cooler kit as well as an itallian leather isotta leather black and silver wheel and new 10” wide 18” khumo silica tyres and way to many extras to list. Come have a look.

Also has a full fiberglass dwing boot in midnight black ready to paint. This was made by the guys at custom carbon so its top quality.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive 
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
