For the price you pay for a R34 GTR you can get a maserati.

No you can't lol...

Are u sure about that my mate just got a Black with red leather 34,000miles Maserati 3200GT on the road for around $48,000 threw a complience centre in melbourne. He paid 12k pounds for the car from manchester and took him about 4months to have the car landed and on the road. You will see it around chatswood got silver and black plates indian guy driving it.

He paid $50k for a temperamental car that is a UK import with high Milage???? Your friend got ripped off big time... I'd pay that money for an Aussie delivered one, not a grey import one...

GT-R32: Lol if ur thinking of importing a ferrari from the uk go for a 4 seater e.g 456 or 550M cause they tend to lose value over their quicker.

Last thing you should do is buy a UK import 4 seater, for starters they are cheap as shit over here in Australia already (for ferrari prices i mean), 2nd is they don't sell because they are not sought after, and last of all by looking at your other posts you have put up on the subject, I wouldn't believe a single word you say, you have no idea what your on about...

piston heads , ebay and autotrader are the most popular 3 in the uk

I ve seen gallardo's go for 45k ;-0

Like i said i ve a lot of contacts in the motor trade in the uk if anyone needs a hand

J

Eghey is full of scam artists, be careful.

Cars in the UK can suffer from rust real bad due to salt on the roads.

I refuse all tis gibberish. I will import a F355 and it WILL be cheaper than getting one here.

http://www.usedcartrader.co.uk/vehicles/ov...355--1489201515

F355's are starting @ 10 000GBP in the UK ( too bad their mr2 replicas but look good replicas lol), but 30 000 pounds will get you a decent F355, they range to a top of about 60 000 pounds. Depends on condition ect... but whats the going price here? $130-$220k, the prices in Australia are a joke.

PS: a private import of any car will be harder to sell unless the price is attractive.

A new f430 costs here from $600-$800k depending on extras + onroad costs....

Same car bought brand new in the UK is 180 000 british pounds which = $300k Australian. Our 2nd hand 2005 model f430's don't sell for under $300k here.

I was going to buy a 360 here in OZ ($200k price tag here, or a $80-$90k Aud equivalent over there), but i'm moving to Austria/Germany at the end of 2011, thought i'd wait and actually save the money to buy property in Europe and use the car over there where they can actually be used properly without getting damaged by stupid potholes on sydney roads, not get speeding fines (planning to move to Innsbruck which is only 25 minutes from munichs autobahns).

Also the price of parts are cheap as chips there, MAserati sydney quoted me $8500 for a new throttle body, I bought a genuwine throttle body from the UK, that sourced it from Italy for $2000 including the cost of air freight. I still find it dessapointing by GM and Holden when you can buy a brand new CV8 Monaro cheaper in Europe than you can here in Australia and the cars are made here. This is why so many people and companies have made money importing cars, but importing cheap r32's and r33's arnt where the profits are, the profit is in the high end market

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
