Hello Guys,

My V35 only came with the one key. I had the dealer in which I purchased the car from order the key from Japan.

When it arrived, the dealer had problems trying to get the car to recognise the key. Apparently there was a list of instructions but they are in japanese.

Does anyone know how I can get the car to recognise this new key? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

there is a thread on this.

short version:

findthe BCM - copy all the numbers off it. send a email to nissan japan requesting the immobiliser codes. cut and program new key with consult.

**Solution if your in Sydney**

I had the same problem with only having one key. I ordered a spare key and took it to Hornsby Nissan as I've been told they've been successful in programming these keys. They had it programmed within an hour :P

It set me back around $85 to get it programmed.

Yeah it's strange, the guy from the dealer I ordered the key through said they couldn't do it. However while speaking to the guy from Hornsby Nissan, he told me they use the same tools as other Nissan Service centres so he couldn't understand why others can't do it...maybe they have the magic touch? lol

He told me they've had about 6 V35's come their way so these guys don't get scared when they hear 'import'.

Most Nissan Dealers talk to each other direct via their own Nissan Forum... they can transfer knowledge to each other this way. If you have someone you know ask them to get in touch with Honrnsby Nissan, with using this process.

Surely they will help especially if it is just using the current equipment

exactly.

if they have a consult 2 or 3 and the immobiliser code then they are happy. programming the key is the easy bit (on assumption of a scan tool or consult 2/3.) the codes are the hard bit from your end. without those you can key the remote entry in but not the NATS system.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
