I like all Skylines but I feel a bit of vomit come to my mouth when they're over dressed & and turned into rice pudding...........Chad's is a good example of what clean & tuff should look like.

Remember, less is more folks.........Japs knew what they were doing with the original design, why go & stuff it up?! :D

Thanks Pete :) I love the look of your car as well, i've never been a fan of over the top kits, standard body with minor changes FTW!!! Im just not a big fan of people who drive skyline just to be cool :D

I find R32 owners are the arrogant one thinking that their R32 is the best thing EVER to come out of japan and every other model Skyline is rubbish - those people needs a punch in the face, especially those with GTSt's thinking that.

LOL agree

i find it hard to make any skyline freinds whislt driving

they look dead ahead and don respond to my freindly beep and wave

could be due to looking like a rapist?.

We are much friendlier down here in A-holetown

I take a squiz at any Skyline. Just because I own a GTR I don't think I'm king of GTS-t's...

well said i love anything with an rb even a vl.... i try to appreciate everyones skylines for what they are and after recent events i even have huge appreciation for the humble 180 sx. try to wave to most line drivers if they are giving eye contact and look friendly

We are SUPERIOR... simple!! ... and we know it. :(

Don't flame me I'm kidding!

I reckon my old GTS-t was one of the best rides I have ever owned.

Respect to any tidy ' line....You give me a wave you will get one back.

Crap you are so up yourself :D

I smile and nod to pretty much most skylines / pintara's I see (lol, the pintara turbo wagon, nice), fingure up in wave salute, but dont "wave" away as such

as for arrogance, I love MY rbdet, but appreciate others whether they be 2litre, 2.5~.6, or 3litre

You girls all better be waving to me when the N1 finally hits the streets. I don't usually go out of my way to get too freaked out when I see a decent import - a nod or a small wave is enough to acknowledge good taste.

What I often find is that some people are intimidated by the "legend of the GT-R" - old people think you're a hoon, GTS-t drivers think you reckon you're better than them and snob them off, Commodore/Falcon owners think you drive around just looking for runs etc etc

Then again, I'm old and married, so I don't feel any particular urge to impress people on the streets either lol

lol i reckon i used to more looks in my 327 lj torana than i do in my skyline

i had a nice original torana for a long time.... i brought it from my wifes granddad... i almost regret selling it :D

you get more ppl looking at the classics thats for sure :(

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
