Just wondering what classifies it a being a 10-point cage?

Have seen others labelled 6-point with the same amount of parts etc.

Did you find out what material its made of yet?

its basically a 6 point but you got the attachments that go from the b pillar hoop to the a pillar legs which run alongside the doors and the bar that goes from the top right side of the b pillar loop to the bottom of the left of the rear arm.

And as far as i am aware its a safety 21 cage which i thought were all black and steel and the chromoly ones are the blue ones.

your exacely right there mate, got to it b4 i did  , black ones are steel which are heavy and ofcourse the cheaper ones but the blue ones are the leightweight material cages which are the pricey ones, i think this is abit pricey what his asking but hey its his cage, you said you will get rid of it for 1k and my offer was $650 which i think is a pretty decent offer,

cheers mate

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
