Brand:Fujitsubo Giken Cat back

It's about 2.5" - 2.75" piping Barrel/Drum style muffler

Seller WROTE:

Was quietish on my skyline so could possibly be louder on an NA skyline(also removed the resonator and welded a straight pipe thru it as it was so quiet)

I know it bolts on fine for a GTST, not sure about non turbos..

Question is..

will it fit on my GTS R33?

And do i need a resonater?

And will it be louder on my N/a?

Oh jeez, not this shit again.

Seriously, why didnt you just ask the seller on what model Skyline it was on?

1) 33's will match all 33's. Turbo and NA will make no diffrence. The size is right. Ask him! its that simple!

2) No. But WARINGING! It will be LOUD without one.

3) Its going to be loud as all buggery. And in 2 weeks when you get sick of it there will be ANOTHER "How do I make my exhaust quiter" thread

In before the lock again!

Gosh I need to stop arseing around and do my uni work..

Yes it will fit,

If it was Anything like the Super Dragger that came on mine it sounded like absolute pus without the resonator, imagine a thousands kids all banging on empty milo tins at once.

It all comes down to muffler design but i dare say without a resonator it wont sound very good at all.

true.

It will not meet legal emission laws.

I beleive its called a "screamer".

Confirmation?

you are correct about it being loud and droney without the resonator. however it is not illegal to remove the resonator as it is not an emissions item. the only thing that may be illegal is if you remove the resonator which results in the exhaust dB reading going above 89dB which would be an epa violation. removing the catalytic convertors would be illegal though.

screamer pipes refer to a wastegate that vents direct to the atmosphere on a turbo car.

mate, most of us have been pretty patient with your questions and quite happy to answer them.

we have politely suggested that you tried to do a little more research on your own before starting a new thread for each question you may have - as it just looks like you are merely being lazy.

treat this forum a little like google and you will soon realise the vast amount of knowledge hidden away.

could you please NOT post a new thread for each and every single thought/question, the other thread would have been perfectly fine if you honestly didn't find anything.

this is a polite verbal warning.

any questions feel free regarding this issue, feel free to PM me.

cheers

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
