+7 offset ??? good luck. If yours is lowered, be prepared to at least roll the guards or add a FRP guard extension. Most GTR wheels' offsets are around +15, where do you find these rims? Sounds like one of those VIP chrome wheels off a japanese VIP-styled sedans?

Normally in Options magazine Japan, for 350Z or V35 around +20-25 offset is considered quite 'aggressive' already to the standard's offset which is around +35-38.

+7 means your outer edge of the rims will stick out around 3cm outside IF your aftermarket rims is also 8" in width like the OEM rims.

However you have 8.5" and 9.5" that means it will stick out more around 4cm front and around 6cm rear. Grab a ruler and stick it onto your std rims,

and you can imagine how much those rims will stick out.

You can install a narrow tyres to get away with it, stretching the sidewalls so it really looks like those VIP cars in Japan, with a mad negative camber.

Although I doubt it will be legal here to run your car with such camber and rim/tyre combination.

Alternatively you can remove your front guard panels and cut the rear qtr panels, transform the V35 to a go-kart/F1 style, or a Caversham open wheeler club racer :) Don't forget to chop off the roof and install a roll cage.

Nope just a hot set of VSKF's

As far as +25 being aggressive hmmm. I use to run x9 +15 front and rear on a 180sx with stock guards.

What sort of sizes should i be looking to get, offset and width wise.

Any pics... sounds really MAD, probably more of a show rims rather than a practical daily driving one, I'd imagine it'll constantly rub your guards or scrape the gutters...

Check the offset with offset calculator here:

Std V35 rims are 8" with +35 offset front and +38 offset rear. I'm not sure if rear is 8.5" but you can get an idea how much they will stick out using that calculator

actually based on the 18x8 +30 stock rims the ones you want will sit 29mm out at the front and 42mm out at the rear. If you have the stock 18s go measure the tyre to guard space and you will find that there is plenty of room there without needing to run stretched tyres.

A +7 offset would be very aggressive only if you were running 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears.

i have some 20x9.5 front and 20x11 rear on the way for v35 coupe with +25 offset all round. I will be lowered on tein s-techs and only plan on rolling the guards to fit. You should be fine with that combo, you may need to roll the guards at worst

are finding 20" tyres easier than 19" ? initially I was going to 235/35 & 265/35 on 19 as those are the closest compatible size but looks like will have to go 245 & 275

Hi ,

I have a question relating to this. My car has front 245/35/19 yokohama and 275/35/19 rear. Now im looking for new tyres for the front as they are pretty worn and i found a great deal on some pirelli's p-zero rosso. But the size is 235/45/19 instead of 245/35/19. Will these tyres fit without rubbing the guards and will it throw my speedo out ? The car has not been lowered and is factory height from what i can tell.

The 235/45 will be 2cm bigger in radius compared to the 245/35 you had.

Although it may fit however the circumference will be around 5% bigger than standard so that is not really recommend to have aftermarket tyres that is bigger than 3% circumference, however I'm not sure where the speedo reading is taken, possible from around the diff area, so it may not affect your speedo speed.

    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo.
