What's the saying????

"Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach him how to fish and he'll eat forever"

So instead of Dan giving you a fish...goto www.motoconcepts.com.au and ask them about the helmet thing guys. :D

Here you go ,

Personal Safety Attire (Car Track Days)

All participants are to wear the following minimum safety attire whilst participating on the circuit.

Full-face helmet in good condition with an Australian standards sticker.

Driving suit, overalls or heavy cotton garment. The garment must cloth the driver / passenger from ankle to wrist.

Covered footwear. Joggers or driving shoes.

Gloves - Optional

franky, you are so smart :D all that effort in the post, why didnt YOU just look it up huh???? :D

same reason I didn't (but different) I guess ;)

oh and the fact I have a full face helmet to protect my pristine features too :D

They changed the rule to full face helmet only @ motoconcepts day after someone wacked their jaw on the steering wheel....

Open faced helmets are not a problem with 4 or 6 point harnesses as you can't leave the east, but with a normal 3 point belt you can hit the wheel if you try hard enough.

BTW, who is this Neil newby

I'm going to test out the pimping machine. Group C, take it nice and easy - See if I can keep up with Fatz in the Charade.....

Should be a bit of fun. Just wnat to get a feel for the lines.

The Skyline won't be ready for a good few weeks - Then I'll start to get serious -

I'll take your 5 bucks dino ! I'll get the tinted visor later - I'll see how it goes with my prescription sunnies.

Oh and it has to match the tint of the Gloria too - must remember to keep up appearances.

:D

    • Just to add, I found the r32 gtr ecu the most forgiving, the r33 one would get the shits.
    • For what it’s worth I drove my gtr for over a decade with gt-ss as a true daily after I pulled off the -5s, I had it engineered and went with stock ecu etc.  never skipped a beat.    I would only worry if you can’t get good fuel all the time in a tropical paradise
    • I bought an engine from a friend of a friend many years ago, it was sold to me as a RB25det Neo.    recently I started pulling it apart and noticed that the intake manifold was pretty different from others that I had seen on RB engines so did a bit of research and found that it was a non turbo manifold. So I’m sceptical now that it is a NEO DET and just thinking it’s a NEO DE (it does have a turbo strapped to it currently).    can you identify the engine model from the numbers on the block?
    • Yeah you can. Cable tie the gauge to a windscreen wiper, or run it into the car and hold it with one hand, or have the neighbour's kid run alongside and tell you what it says.
    • I've never understood why this bothers people. Surely you'd be looking at a T3 flanged Garrett style thing, rather than a TD? You're unlikely to push a +T hard enough to need that much fuel. If you're not starting with most of the things you need to do that (ie, the bloody ECU!), you're better off just going Haltech/Link. You wil hate life a lot less. No. Just no. Just turbo it as is.
