Tuner is located near (or in) Sydney.

Alot of transport if you are shipping it there... Besides, wouldn't an interstate cruise be more fun?

I may be able to organise some quality, cost effective accommodation.

my missus would ream me if i said im going away again , i get in the shit when i go away for work , plus im originally from sydney , she'd think i was upto no good with female friends i know up their :D thought maybe i could be done like the ford flash tuner

Just to keep you updated, car will be booked in next week for a comprehensive tune....whilst I'm away on holidays I've managed to squeeze in the cue and book it in as they have 10 days to play with the AXIS and achieve the best possbile results, this will also remove the speed limiter and possibly tighten up shift points on the gearchanges as well.

Fingers crossed should have some respectable figures for everyone in a 2 weeks time.

Cheers

Hi Tony

Any good news about the tune?

Cheers

Indeed. Oh well, looks like an eManage Ultimate install then.

Hi Guys.....sorry for my hibernating status, have been in lock down workwise and havent had a chance to see what the rest of the worlds doing!!!

The last time the car was booked in the tuner was having problems with the ECU responding to his inputs, and since the I was overseas for 2 months and cars were off the radar.

I know you've all heard this before and its dragged on longer than expected but the AXIS will definitely be tuned and it is possible to get the Nm35's ecu to talk now!!!

Now to add a twist to the story, AXXIS will be on market and come with all the bells & whistles that I have added, without getting into a long winded story about why???? With great regret it needs to find a new home and someone that will appreciate this amazing car and its tasteful mods!!!

I will be avertising the CAR for $35K comes with 12months rego, New Goodyear 245/45 Tyres, complete Turbo back exhaust with Fujistubo Muffler, Greddy Front Mount Intercooler, All New slotted Rotors and Hawk Pads, Just had 40K service with Royal purple 10/40 fluids.... please note the Tuner has insisted he will honour a custome tune of the original ECU once he is 100%....right now he's 95% there hence why the long wait. Also comes with reverse camera, Double din stereo, DVD,DIVX,MP3. IPOD, TV, SATNAV etc.......

PM me if you know anyone that is looking for a fully optioned AXIS....the number plates will also come with car and it lso has the Twin sunroof and co,es with the original AXIS wheels. I post up some current pics of the car in the for sale section.

Cheers

Welcome back from hibernation Tony. Sorry to hear we are losing you from the Stagea world.

I hope that reprogram comes of age soon, mind you most of us are probably going to be reluctant to step up with the cash in the current economic climate.

Andy I'm sure it will be worth the power gain compared to piggy back systems only offering 10% gain and costing anyhwere of $1500 upwards, for that sort of money I would want to see better results.

The car drives like a dream and it will be dearly missed, as you all know with the current exchange rates you cant even land an average AXIS for 30K let alone a fully loaded one.

Hi Guys,

I finally got my 2003 Stagea AXIS aka BATTLE STAR GALACTICA, better than what I expected, some of my colleagues in their Merc's,Beemers & Audi Rs4's are quite impressed with the ride.

The car was dead standard when it arrived 31K on the clock, I recently added a set of R34 GTR wheels & a Fujistubo Catback exhaust....

**Liverpool Exhaust have just made the first turbo dump pipe for me and I'll have some before and after power figures documented soon detailing changes with the mods in place.**

AUTECH have definitely refined the ride on the AXIS; having driven the ARX's they can be a bit of a boat ride, but this car carves up high speed sweepers effortlessly without the harshness of some of the aftermaket coilovers.

Can anyone offer feedback on Brake rotor upgraders such as DBA or RDA, are the discs & pads the same as the V35's....??

Cheers :D

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
