Roy
I have been using an Apexi AVC-R (blue screen) for about a year now and cannot fault the unit. That said the scramble function allows you to set a boost level and an interval for that setting. I have never used this function and want to know if it is possible to set up so that as long as the scramble button is depressed the EBC will give the higher boost setting. (being so it activates whilst a button is depressed... not for say 6 seconds fter the button has been depressed) I would rather not have to change EBCs, but i want to be able to run around a circuit at 10-12psi and when i hit the straight bump up boost to around 18-19psi. Having to preset the scramble feature for a set interval means i can only use the scramble on say the main straight. Thoughts??? rb25
I have the HKS EVC4 and its really easy to set up like that, but the AVC-R - sorry I can't help you. Maybe try to get some decent product documentation from somewhere. Apex's manuals are ordinary. The guy I bought my EVC form was lucky enough to source the proper tuning/install manual from a HKS tuner direct. Aparently, the manual that comes with the EVC is 3 pages, but the one I have is 28 pages, very detailed. BOOSTD
I have the full EVC 4 manual. I have my scramble set to 0 seconds so it activates only when my button is depressed. T0nyGTSt
The people doing the work on my car (Bel Performance in Homebush 9763 7022) have hooked up a scramble button on the steering wheel for the AVC-R. It should be cheap as it's just a momentary button. I'm not sure I want one of those as I'd be tempted to "HIT IT" at every traffic light T.
