i really dont care what people think about this come if you want dont if you dont want to but dont turn my thread into junk

their were 25 stags at the cruise today with various mods as in low, loud, bov, wheels, coils, ect and NO ONE got defected

Its just a matter of time.

You can pat a dog but still beware it may bite.

problem is Kell, most cops that aren't too car savvy, think that Stags are a sport version of a Volvo (no offence Stag lovers).

However, the nerdiest cop knows what a Skyline is and what it can do, so I would like to think they would be seen in the same light, but that could be wishfull thinking on my part.

I think the problem is that yeah no Stags got defected today all cool. But just because one person tells someone "yeah their alright leave them alone".

Doesn't mean they're all going to do it. Even in my car I wouldn't risk it, so I don't disagree with Ryan and Pete with their concerns.

All things aside..

So this was their idea or?

yes it was the polices idea but SAU has the respect of them we keep them informed and they leave us alone

Pete this guy knows what he is on about

I'm sure he does Kell, but I've got cop mates who would even come on a cruise with me and not give a rats about mods, but put their uniforms on and it's open season on all of you

The only thing I'd be concerned about with my car is the seats as it's still rego'd as a 4 seater but has fixed back seats in the front. Although I've never let anyone in the back while driving I doubt the cops would have heard that story many times before.

Edit: F**k it, if I get defected it will give me more motivation to keep the car off the road for a while until I get some of my bigger mods done.

you all dont listen i didnt tell him they are fine leave them alone ok he just knows that i have done a shit load of cruises and know that we dont cause trouble so they like us and they have respect for me ok because i do the right thing by trying to run a smooth cruise

the end

come if you want or dont ok leave it!

lol Kell, no need to yell.............I actually know more than I'm prepared to let on here........I understand exactly what you're saying, but hear me very clearly, regos of certain vehicles WILL be taken and noted for the future

the stag cruise could have ended with a number of stickers but didn't, the police were understanding and were only there to make sure we were doing the right thing.

the funnisest bit was that they turned up because of all of you guys that sit tough behind your computer screen and fire your mouth off at them - no need to be a hero and ruin it for the rest of us!

that's just childish with no thought in what you are saying.......the 3 guys disputing and asking questions on this thread don't slag off at cops on these boards

    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
