i agree the dragon car was not good but suprisingly as it may seem most people think their own car is the best.

If im honest... i was expecting to win the wooden spoon award for 3 working speakers and a welded diff which ripped up their grass.

just remember he could quite easily be reading this thread and not like what ya got to say about his car. everyone gets people that love n hate their car no matter what is done to it, just depends on what the individual likes. i have to hear complaints about the holes in my bumper on a regular basis >_<

As I said earlier....

I'm down from Brisbane for the weekend and I went along and checked out this show.

Was of an okay size, about the same as to what we would usually get in Brisbane.

I think our display would of probably been setup a bit differently instead of having a row of lines.

Would of been good to of possibly caught up with some of ya's while I was down here but maybe another time.

I've attached some pic's for ya from what I took >_<

Can't believe on the coolest day of the whole last week i managed to get sunburnt! Badly too, i look like a friggin lobster. Was out doing backyard work yesterday and didnt even get burnt, grrrr.

Anyway, cograts to Cara on the award.

My hottest car award goes to the 34gtr in the carpark, that thing is mental! Porsche killer lol.

oh i hope hes on here. maybe knock some sense into him and knock him out of his oblivious bubble of 'no taste'.

people always complain 'oh everyone is different'. yeah and no. if u mod ur car in a homosexual manner its still gay. different, but defiantly gay.

typical of you blaming me for starting the cars first. you would have known if i had reved it. "HELLO" screamer on board luv.

i only started my car due to gettin stezza tested. i actually had a reason ha ha.

got 126.9db so i was happy with that.

and that 180. EPIC FAIL even on the whole $2 rims and stock height.

still recon a 2yr old could finger paint better that that air brushing.

i seen better jobs done on a datto 120y(bother) in rattle can. >_<

yes but im sure a v8 bogan would call your car gay also i mean its a 1.8L therefore not conforming to the 6L expectations. and they dont seem to understand dyno figures im heard them at extreme horsepower giving my bro's 1.3 sh*t when its 175kw could obviously whip most v8s

ok im done sticking up for a car, continue the onslaught if you must people i mean it did have a broken bumper after all

that VL rb25/30 with the highmount turbo was hot, road registered somehow lol. wouldnt mind seeing the VH turbo'd 308 on the dyno, or the LS1 twin turbo Maloo ute!

agreed!

if u noticed i didnt have any critisim about the power hes 'apprently' making. hes obviously had engine work and i respect that. but doesnt mean u can go all out and make gay pride mobile.

theres no specific or elitest mindset u need to judge cars. just use ur common sense.. even tho it aint common lol.

cheers dean

just so people know what we are talking out when we say the 180...............

F*cking lol!!

I remember seeing this 180 at a random car show at the Royal Showgrounds last year!! The owner (he's a old guy) had a go at me and my mate because we were apparently "too close" to the car! Even though we were behind his little rope thing he had around it. Then he started mouthing off at us.

The car is enough to make me vomit, and the owner is a arrogant tosser.

It fails... as well as that "I'm Hot" Suzuki Swift which seems to appear at random car shows all around Adelaide.

Not quite >_<

Dragon 1994 nissan 180SX

SR20 turbo black top 260 kil watts rear wheels, HKS 4'' exhaust, HKS pipes, rebuit motor last year with s15 runing parts HKS top cams, HKS forged pistons, S15 fuel injectors, naprec 100mm throttle body . HKS t51r single turbo

17x8 Adrenalin wheels, fully airbrushed and decked out inside, no rear seats just a SOUND SYSTEM 3 pioneer 350 watts amps, 2 Pioneer 10'' subs, 1 Pioneer 12'' sub, Pioneer CD tuner 4+50 with ipod, Pioneer DVD player.

And its hard to call it thrown together when its been evolving for at least 7 years that I know of. It has been in various car shows, & the SVD Car Club events that I have seen.

You forgot to mention the Fast and the Furious seat belt covers (look closely at the pic of the car that Cara took.

And... okay... hang on... it pumps out that amount of kw's yet I see 0 brake upgrades? Looks like standard rotors to me!

I think the guy's telling some porkies on the engine internals and the output. I have my doubts. Someone whose supposedly spent big bucks on HKS internals etc but the presentation of the car is lacking. And I'd like to see it on the dyno ... the dyno won't lie. I hate, hate, hate criticising other peoples cars and try my best to avoid it, but in this case I am doubtful about the whole thing. Plus I do have to question his position within SMASA. I have seen better 180s. Thats my 'opinion' of the car without trying to be insulting.

Thanks to all for the compliments on my Stagea(s). The short time I hung around, I noticed the Stageas attracted a fair bit of attention. "Why the hell is a wagon in with the Skylines?" Wish I had time to paint the front bar, but def next time. While I'm at it, I may just give it a full respray, as I've found some odd nicks and chips I'm not happy with. Big thanks to Damo (Tryandcatchme) for the detailing to both cars. >_<

It was good to see a successful SAU display ... kudos to Cara for organising.

i look forward to seeing it at AJD.

like i keep saying, 'doing what u want with ur car' doesnt justify turning it into a bucket of puke on wheels. see we arnt pissed off at all. moreso just dissapointed lol.

its easy to have a fancy display like his when u cut corners on every modification.. especially his rims.. umm brakes, suspension.. ok well the whole damn car!

Not quite >_<

haha yes its homo... hasnt anyone picked up on the s15 injectors running a HKS T51r :s and HKS top cams.... is there bottom one's?

was only a couple cars that stood out to me, none of the sau crew soz (apart from lukes perfect wheel fitment as usual)

the blue lj gtr was a stunning piece of work the detail in the bay was bloody amazing and also the hdt vh immaculate and impressed with its ap racing brake upgrade!

    • GCG is a good company, they're a major distributor for Garrett in Japan as well.
    • Nah, OEM washer bottle and brake fluid reservoirs are fine I don't know what it is with the plastic that Mazda used, some plastics, like the washer bottle and brake fluid res are fine, and still look new after 20 years use, where as the coolant expansion tank, and PS reservoir, that I replaced with new OEM items when I first got the car, turned yellow and started getting brittle a few years later If the dirty yellow stained plastics didn't trigger me there wouldn't be an issue, but they did, much like the battery bracket....... Meh As for going back to work full time to support car stuff, nope, why, because I own a Mazda NC MX5, not a Nissan R series Skyline 🤣
    • I've never heard of CJ-motor, so can't advise you on them. I'd just go straight to GCG for a GCG highflow though. Seems no point to use a middleman. I'm somewhat surprised that the price on the CJ site is lower than the GCG retail price. Even though CJ would get a discount of some sort, you would hardly expect them to give up so much margin. Maybe the price is out of date? Having said that "I'd go to GCG"...when I did my highflow, I went to Hypergear. I did this https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25dethighflow/#tab-dyno-results with the R34 OP6 450HP profile. With the BB centre (extra $400) and intially with the standard boost actuator, but I eventually got him to send me the high pressure one when I got to the point of being able to actually use it. Ends up costing the same sort of money as the GCG highflow, but this is, of course, the turbo that I KNOW has a shorter length core and so moves the comp cover rearwards. The GCG apparently doesn't do that. My mechanic also swears by the GCG highflow, given that we have another turbo rebuilder who does something essentialy the same as theirs, using Garrett wheels. He says it stands up at really low revs and makes good power. I haven't pushed my HG highflow past ~240-250rwkW yet (should have a little more in it, but unclear how much) and it does have a fairly gentle boost ramp. OK, it's much better now that I have gotten my boost controller tuned up on it.  A lot of my earlier unhappiness was because I couldn't keep the wastegate flap as closed as it needed to be (including some mechanical issues). I'd still prefer it to boost up nearly as quickly as the stocker, and it certainly a bit slower than that. So maybe the GCG one is worth the first look (for you).
    • Ok thanks 🙂 I will higly consider this. Any "known" company for a good reviews and experience to send that off? Is that CJ-motor good one? Or go straight to GCG site? I need to use VPN to even find some of those "shops" let alone access them 🙂
    • You can literally put in as much WMI as it takes to quench the combustion totally (and then back it off a little, obviously), and it will keep making more and more power. The power comes from the cooling effect of the water (and the meth) and the extra fuel (the meth, which also has massive octane). It is effectively exactly like running E85. One might be slightly better than the other, but they are damn close. But with either you can lean on the boost or the timing (or both) waaaay more than with just petrol and the results are similar. Here's the first thing I googled for an anecdotal bit of evidence. Can't access the attachment without being a gold member, but it is there for the getting if able to, or searched up elsewise perhaps. https://www.hpacademy.com/forum/general-tuning-discussion/show/wmi-vs-e85/
