Hey guys, just wondering, Where's the best place (as in, largest range) in SA to find a NEW racing seats?

I'd like to be able to sit in them b4 I buy them and I don't want no 2nd hand shit.

I wouldn't of worried about it but my car's got a sunroof and my head already touches the roof, if I put a helmet on I reckon i'll have to tilt my head. (Probably not the most comfortable position to be in whilst fanging around lala.)

Also, where's the best place to buy a helmet? (largest range)

Cheers! (I hope) :P

Just get GTR seats, they're great, a lot lower than normal skyline seats and the best thing is they are legal and they dont stand out to the boys in blue :P

Yeah?? How low we talking? That's not a bad idea!

Now Does anyone have a 32 with gtr seats and a sunroof???

Thanks every1, especially for the links!

Flick put a set of sparco sprint seats in the 32. They are adr/fia approved but you would have to re-register the car as a 2 seater if you're keeping it on the road. The seats are really comfortable but like most "race" seat they are difficult to get into. I'm thinking of getting 32 gtr seats so I don't have to worry as much but it's very tempting to leave these in as strip out the rear and make it a 2 seater.

That's why I've never had more than 1 passenger in 32 at a time. In the case of an accident, anyone in the back would basically be screwed.

so would this apply to the r33 four door sedans or are they exempt from this because there's more room in the back.?

no, they have access to the rear seats via the rear doors. So as long as they are ADR approved fixed back, they should be legal in a four door. as far as i know anyway.

well that makes me feel better so i can go and get some approved adr fixed back seats and still have the back for passengers jeez that will suck at the drive in's lol.

    • Maybe also really stiffly sprung track cars. Get the inside wheel up in a corner and all the fun stops. Also me sometimes (rarely) when I have to stand on the brake to convince the diff to drive the wheel that is still on the ground when I'm trying to diagonally get over severe driveway entrance, etc.
    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
