My new baby is booked in a week today, I dont think I'll need to post yet another good review as they all speak for themself's but I guess another can only add to the reputation of this fine gentleman.

Speaking to him on the phone he explained a lot of things to me (as a beginner "car enthusiast" I dont always understand what is actually under the bonnet of my '93 R33 GT-S25t) and he was quite polite and understanding, even suggesting a parts shop and other things.

NismoGirl is he located on the northern or southern end of Gibbs St?

southern end.

i know i know - im not nismo girl but hey.

That's ok Ill forgive you this time!

No the whole point was so that I could post this pic showing where he is and the surrounding area.

That way people can either decide to go to the shopping centre or take a book, it looks like there are several parks nearby or go for an extended walk to the beach.

Also it helps people find him.

My baby is going to be dropped off at 8:30am on the 30th and it is the one in my avatar, less the 4w smoke as it is only a GT-S25t but looks cool in my avatar.

But it is black, so I usually have to have the aircon running for it to be a bearable tempature in the cabin after it has been sitting in the sun for like 10 seconds :P

If you want to see up close and personal pics then I got some here:

http://203.219.212.62/R33/

BUT they are not small, pretty huge actually, but because I have broadband it does not really worry me, but if you are on dial-up I would not suggest looking at them as they are just of a stock '93 R33, nothing special, except it's mine :D

oops yeah my bad edited the post :)

Yeah I took the car to RACQ to get inspected as it was a private sale and RACQ found cracks running into the back mags, which were ugly BBS aluminium so I picked out a cheap new set and hey presto!

well picked the car up this afteernoon. all i can say atm IS O M G !!!!

the whole place is just great, very helpful.

the gtr is now FLYING !! it hoots. doing a powerrun dyno and new plugs next week :>

Hey, do you work around Coopers Plain

i saw a white GTR looks like yours several times when i finish work

pretty nice R33 GTR

Hey guys I work at the Northern end of the Gold Coast does that count?

Not that I want to change my signature anyways (the new V-Bulletin upgrade won't allow a sig as long as mine anymore) just thought I would ask though ;)

More than welcome //exus9... 6 members and counting. ;)

Yeah, new V-Bulletin software thought it would be funny to play havoc with my sig this arvo too... I want to change my avatar as well but I'm a bit wary ATM.

Back on topic though, Gavin is the man! Did my timing belt, drive belts, tensioner, idler and water pump about 3 months ago. I'm a harsh critic and I honestly couldn't fault the workmanship...

    • Thank you GTSBoy and MBS206 I have done the compression test with the motor out of the vehicle, reason for the test was to see if I needed to remove the head and do rings etc while its out. I'm in the process of respraying the vehicle and tidying up a few things. Story behind it all is I've just purchased the skyline and it was running when I got it, never drove it on the street though as I wanted to pull it down and do it all up again before registering it. the gentleman I purchased it from told me the motor has a forged bottom end and has a decent tune through it but I was going to pull the sump off anyway to see if it is a forged bottom end. that's why I thought id do a compression test beforehand.
    • Man, I'm kind of amazed that the price of the turbo has not changed in 7 years. Everything else is inflating beyond reason, but not this? Good on Tao / hypergear I guess? Anyways, good luck with the sale!
    • I'm selling my brand new, in the box, never used Hypergear ATR45 - and I had some additions I paid for a few yrs back when I purchased it. Never ended up having the rest of the money to add all the mods at once, so I just ended up slowly selling each part. I originally had it internally gated, with the dump pipe, however I found it was incompatible with what I was going to use it for, so I contacted (I think Ken) from Hypergear, and he and I messaged back and forth & he got me to ship the turbo back, where they modified it & made it externally gated, and gave me the 5 bolt dump pipe attachment for custom welding. (Photos below) This turbo like I said has never touched the inside of an engine bay, it's completely brand new, never used, been sitting in the same box it arrived in, covered in plastic & all. Below are the photos of it: And while the guys at Hypergear were making it in-shop, they sent me some photos of the process: I'm looking at selling this just because I'm in need of the money right now, and don't have plans on modifying the 34 anytime soon - and from reviews & peformance sheets, this turbo had amazing results back when I was researching. The turbo was purchased in 2018 for $1.9k, with the mods I got added on. Looking at the website now, for the same turbo they sell (ATR45SAT), with the current addons it adds up to $1830 for the turbo Current addons included: - Bolted dump adaptor - Ball bearing CHRA - Braided oil feeding line So I'm looking to possibly sell it for around $1800, with shipping included in that 1.8k, It cost me around $120 to ship - so yeah thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone was interested in purchasing. Cheers!
