Hi Guys,

As a gift I just got a new Trust power evo TR II 94mm V-band exhaust for my 32 GTR, so I am selling the exhaust I had ready to go on it. It's an 80mm Kakimoto stainless system. It's cat back, in 2 sections. It has a hotdog type resonator in the front bit and just 1 canon at the back. It does have a removable baffle/silencer too in case you need to fly under the radar for a bit, and the baffle is designed so that it's barely visible when fitted. Kakimoto exhausts are world renowned as the best sounding exhausts for a GTR. and they are made with the quality of material and welding that is typical of the good japanese exhausts. It's the full stainless one too not the mild piping/stainless muffler type. I'm asking $420 pick-up in sydney, or organise your courier to pick up from me. The exhaust does have a small dent in the front section and it could use a nice clean and polish. but apart from that it's all good. :)

Pics to come tomorrow. $420 is a bargain for a Jap stainless 80mm system that currently would cost well over $1600 to buy new from japan.

hey rich if i sell my exhaust ill take your exhaust off your hands mate, so is this a 3" or 3.5" and can you also get me a few pics

cheers tony

Hi jakez, not sure if it will fit GTST correctly or not. I would guess that it will. it's the cat-back section so should be the same between 32 GTR and GTST. not sure if it's mega N1 or which type. but it would be something like that. it's 80mm all the way, 115mm tip, with the proper kakimoto removable baffle/silencer, all stainless.

it's this one, which yes, seems to be mega N1. (picture this one, but used/dirty/in need of a good polish!)

it has the red label on the side of the tip like this:

and has the nice baffle like this:

from looking at the pics it looks like the old version of the current n1p001va8.jpg

the only difference I can find is that they have recently changed to 4 bolt flange from 2 bolt flange. everything else is the same.

So get in quick. It's about a quarter of the price of what it costs new. Sure it's not exactly mind condition with a small dent on the front section underneath, and a fair bit of dirt soot etc and needs a polish to make it look new again, but hey, it's a quarter the price! the sound of a kakimoto race type exhaust on a GTR has to be heard at least once in your life! perfect match. >_<

oh, and tony, the jap sizes are all in mm, not inches. it's 80mm which is bigger than 3inch but probably a bit smaller than 3.5inch.

yeh i used to have the same exhaust on my 32 but had mild steel piping...awesome exhausts and they sound like sex on any rb. Are you from melbourne?

what it's like under the wrapping. tbh i've never unwrapped the whole thing since I bought it, but if you want to come check it out I can upwrap it all for a local buyer. I just left it like that as it'll save me re-wrapping it for post of pick-up.

bump. keen to get rid of this over the weekend. I have so much stuff lying around it's not funny.

how does the baffle work, I am going to DMV tomorrow to get some permits and it is wayyyyyyyyyy to loud at the moment, prolly cos of the mines stainless front and decat but meh, the kaki sounds horn I reckon

it just reduces the pipe diameter at the end of the muffler. there are pictures of it above. basically they just strangle the fk out of your exhaust. lower noise and lower power too sadly. only useful as a temporary measure and wont help you pass any inspections etc.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
