hi guys and girls

anyone know any good job agencies/ recruitment places around liverpool area?

The shift im working is going to close down next week, because of stupid supervisor not getting enough production out.

i tried the usual websites seek etc, but i call up and all they say is "position filled".

so anyone recommend any around this area or a bit further?

Larry - you need to specify what type of industry you are in. Recruitment agencies specialize in different fields - if you work in any of the professional industries, you need a specialist firm as they usually get all the best roles (due to their existing database of candidates)

Cris - unfortunately uni students are at the bottom of the food chain at the moment (at least in my industry anyways). With the bad economy, and so many people being laid off, the few companies that are hiring are able to snap up experienced and quality labour for cheap. That's just reality. However, you never know there's always exceptions to every rule.

I've started looking around, despite there being no immediate threat to my employment - just want to see what's out there and ultimately how attractive I am to other employers. Surprisingly I've been offered two roles in less than a week, both matching or bettering my current package - I turned them both down for a few reasons which I won't go into. But yeah, there are jobs out there - just make sure your CV stands out from the crowd.

FYI I use 2 personal agents who work for competing agencies - they know this - which makes them work very hard as they want the fee associated with any placement to be theirs.

recruitment/job agencies are shit but almost your only choice if your short on searching time, there lazy and tend not to listen when you talk to them even though they write it down... I asked a few of them to look for a job for me (pathology industry, the only area not effected at all by the economy) and they seem to want to find jobs in other areas of science or unrelated jobs like a geologist scientist.... nothing to do with my qualifications...

gf was also looking for a job with the threat of redundancy looming and she had an even worse time in the marketing field, atleast she wasn't made redundant so she quickly told the recruitment agencies (that should change there names to "False Hope Agencies") to piss off.

they make up jobs that don't exist, make you go to interviews that just waste your time....

my advice is to use them but do not for the love of god rely on them unless you happen to know them personally.... also satanic has the right idea.... play them off and make them compete to find you jobs.... search yourself online aswell and research the area you are looking to seek employment and ask the potential employers by yourself if thereare any positions going and how to apply for the job.

Its near impossible to get a job atm!

Im uni holidays, been lookinf for 3 weeks now, over 30 different job applications and absolutely nothing back!

+1 uni holls cant get a job. man i hate group interviews. alotta stores have them :P

warehouse, pick packer and process.

Try Manpower and/or ReadyWorkforce.

pretty sure both are based in parramatta. Manpower might be blacktown though.

Umm,if your keen fit and don't mind the cold, try to get into IGA silverwater(cold storage)

ride those cool crowns with the rabbit button.good pay and Unlimited free food + shares same block

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
