POLICE! PARITY PROPOSITION PLEASE !!!!

I would like to see HP exercise more parity when pulling over cars/people!!!

To Deal with...

1) Hogging lanes 2 & 3

2) Not using indicators

3) Overly loud exhausts on bikes as well as cars

4) Excessive speed even in the rain, rather than stay cosy at the station

5) Erratic lane changing

6) Stopping next to school crossings to let kids off or pick them up

7) Double parking

8) Use of dated disability passes

9) Rear Number Plate lights not working

10) Use of radios, cbs & walkie talkies whilst driving besides mobiles

11) Tailgating

12) Faulty Stop lights

13) Driving with lights off after dusk

14) Blocking Lane #1 when a bus or truck is turning left

15) Driving with coffee in one hand and lippy in the other, even if adept at multi-tasking

16) Abusive and rageful drivers

17) Rescinding the stealth of using unmarked Police cars as road traps instead of detective work

18) Ceasing the use of speed traps on a downhill slope

19) Seat Belt usage

20) Cars with only the driver using T2, T3 lanes even if there's a mannequin in the passenger seat

21) Allowing the use of private busses in bus lanes

22) Crossing unbroken centre lines

23) Drug tests for substances like speed, coke, smack etc and not just pot and alcohol

24) Obscured number plates with bike racks etc

25) A refund of penalty points back to the driver through a Samaritan act

Now that wasn't so hard was it Mr Keystone??? :spank: That took me 10 mins.

Tez

Tinted rear tail lights on an R32 standard? You sure you didnt just overhear the conversation with the cop?

"Nah fo sure bro.. they're full stock like that and shit aye"

no the cop defected the car when no one was near it and the 4DOOR r32's have the rear tinted lights the cops put the defect notice under the wipers

No they dont have "tinted lights" They have a black surround, a red light lens and clear cover.... If they were tinted it would have a black/very dark cover rather than a clear one.. Like this.

damn straight...

"Hoons" have been around for ages, and have been ruthlessly slaughtering out women and children for way too long!!! Dont you guys watch the news!?!? Wont someone please think of the children!!

I've seen that cop around the Forum. Be careful.

i actually saw a HWP car driving behind a car last night which had only 1 brake light working. The car wasn't an import nor did it have p plates. Do you think he got pulled over?? Nope the HWP just turned the other way after following it for about 1km. If it was an import they wouldve got pulled over and defected probably

seriously

if every single police officer in the whole of australia joined a single car hoon crack down team and handed out 100,000,000 defects they would not even put a pin dent on the modified car scene in australia. its a losing battle thats costing too much money for the state government and honestly barely puts a dent in defective car owners' wallets. best off pushing the funds elsewhere into more dangerous crime stopping initiatives like anti-drug and anti-gang violence.

simple fact - dont go to these hot spots and you'll be right!!and make sure car is legal!!

This is why I have a standard bluebird thats driven daily!!

We just spent a weekend in bathurst racing, cars were all "stickered up" and we passed alot of cops to and from the track in our cars, yet, of course I got a bit worried as we get closer, they look at us and see our cars, but they dont do a 2nd look. I guess they thought well at least they take it to the track and aren't hoons!

Or the country cops are nicer?

    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
