Hey I was just wondering if anyone could help me locate a Nissan Skyline R34 GTT Nismo/Aero Factory Bodykit...

I have searched the net all night and found nothing. I'm just after a website or a shop that sells them or imports them.

If your after a brand new original Nismo kit, better brace yourself. Your better off looking on Yahoo Japan for a used kit. www.importmonster.com.au or MrZac on the forum.

I believe FBR copy can be obtained from DMD the image in Qld

On this topic - are genuine Nismo kits plastic (like OEM bars) or fibreglass?

When I purchased my R34 GTR it had a Nismo kit fitted (as per pictures taken when the car was still in Japan), the seller assured me (he sells bodykits) that it was a genuine Nismo kit and that they are fibreglass.

I'm asking as I'm looking to get it resprayed but would rather a genuine one if they are of different composition.

The GTT kit many people here seem to refer to as the 'Nismo' is actually not Nismo at all - it's the Nissan optional Aero kit, sometimes referred to as Altia I believe. It's the one with the front bar that has the black-plastic middle bit with 'SKYLINE' written on it and the rear bar has the slanted middle section.

The Nismo rear bar looks like this: http://carmate.com/product_details.php?pro...&p_id=10208 and it's very rare (which is why I just got one! ;D)

Are you saying you bought the rear end on the basis that it's rare.. there are alot of rare items and i can tell you why they are mostly rare.. LOL

and correct me if i'm wrong but you bought that FPR from car mate yes.. which isnt rare.. they just keep molding new ones.. not like an optional kit from nissan that wasnt really chosen so there aint many out there and nissan charge through the roof to purchase a GENUINE one

the 'Nismo' rear bar is "rare" because I've only seen 2 so far ... and I don't think it's rare because it's shit. And no I didn't get it just because it's rare but because I like the look. I'm probably going to take my wing off and this rar bar gives it a nice chunky bum which IMO would look good without a wing.

As for the Nissan optional Aero - it's on approx. 50% of the 34's coming from Japn which is why it's common. Nothing wrong with this kit, just thought I'd clear up the whole naming thing because it can be confusing for people looking for a kit.

What's your point mate? I like the kit whether it's rare or not, it just happens to be rare. Why do I think it's rare ? Because I've been looking for a kit since I got my 34 approx. 8 months ago and came accross one member's piccies just a few days ago - first time I saw one and I thought I'd seen them all up until then.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
