89 R32 GTR for sale

General: Since getting a low km R33 engine a few years ago, the car has mainly been in storage as part of a slow build up for track work and has rarely been driven on the road let alone in anger. However, as a common problem with these engines ( happened twice to me), the harmonic balancer welded it self to the crank nose and thus the bottom end has been completely rebuild with ACL race bearings and a new Nissan HB.

The reason I am selling the car is because it just doesn't make economic sense to me anymore although I will probably buy another one in more prosperous times.

So Features are;

Engine

  • Low Km (about 40,000) R33 RB26 (long nose crank) with rebuild bottom end, ACL race bearings and new Nissan HB
  • Adjustable vernier cam sprockets
  • New adjustable Fuel regulator
  • New Bosh 044 in tank fuel pump
  • High flowed, steel wheeled, 360 degree thrust bearing T28 turbos (GCG), port matched to manifold
  • HKS split type dump pipes
  • Apexi Pods
  • Apexi Intercooler
  • Oil cooler
  • 90 mm exhaust and high flow cat
  • Greddy single plate clutch with uprated pressure plate
  • Lightened flywheel
  • ABS unit, brake cylinder and clutch slave cylinder replaced
  • Big race radiator

Suspension/Wheels

  • Fully adjustable TEIN coil over suspension
  • Tein adjustable caster rods
  • Mainland adjustable camber arms
  • Whiteline adjustable swaybars, bushes and rear camber kit
  • New front CV joints
  • 18 x 10 AVS racing wheels with new Falken 285/35 rubber

Exterior

  • Veilside rear spoiler
  • Unique Australian Group A style air dam
  • Bathurst type race stripe
  • Side skirts removed to enhance the non-bling race look

ECU

  • Currently Haltech E-11 ( MAP) with new 720 cc injectors but I am considering putting my Power FC Pro version and standard injectors back in the car. Both items are negotiable according to need. Both run the same power (375 Hp at the wheels) but obviously the Haltech/big injector set up has more potential when used with uprated turbos as the standard injectors were running at 90% duty cycle.

Also, I have a twin 70 mm Kakimoto exhaust that I was planning to put when the new turbo's were going on. Is also for sale and looking for around the $900 mark.

All up looking at the 26 grand mark including the Halltech set up or a bit less with the Power Fc Pro set up. The figure mentioned is a starting point as I've only just put my finger on the pulse.

I'm happy to answer any questions, unfortunately I do not have any engine shots but can organise if necessary.

Cheers

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
