God I wish I was there when they signed out...

ive never had to pay for slap and tickle in my life before...there was no way i was paying for yours!

i actually thought it was pretty funny but as the room was in Luke's name he was not as amused.

Mick put new tensioner pulley stud and idler bolt on your engine...i have part numbers for the full kit including washers and nuts...its about $20 for the lot (a little bit more exy than a Stevo-salami-slashing-session)

Already done Paul :) Thanks.

(I love it when we get a chance to pay Steve out about that night) ;)

Man hurry up and finish already!!

My thoughts exactly!!

lol you Never did end up posting turbo specs :P but I didn't end up getting a 3076 anyway

Yeah, sorry about that... I havent been near a computer for 2 weeks and I forgot :P

  • 3 weeks later...

Update:

A few more major parts and incidentals attached, just waiting on some fluids to come in (special ordered) so that I can replace all oils and lubricants...

Hopefully only a matter of a couple of weeks now :D

maaan... so much blue! :D

Yep, my favourite colour, plus... It seems that most people go for red so I wanted to go against the grain.

Lookin' sexy there!! Let's hope you can drive it faster on a track than you can on a dyno :)

Thanks Michele... I think. :D

Thanks Chris, its been a lot hard and fiddly work to get it looking as good as it does...

I havent completely sorted the catch can system yet, I am still thinking of how to plumb it in to the new inlet... At the moment it is sealed off from everything but the cam covers (still a work in progress).

No problem...

Yeah I made a bracket for it, its got 3 bolts holding it on to the body and 2 holding the can (I dont cut corners on my car).

Here is a quick "sketch" of the bracket... I used existing holes in the body when measuring up the braket, I dont like the idea of drilling more holes into the panels.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
