r_palac
Hey guys im looking at buying my exhaust for my r34 in the next few weeks. Does anyone know any good good places to buy from on the Gold Coast? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/249393-exhaust/ Share on other sites
PWND
it's not on the gold coast, but not too far away either. CES, or Custom Exhaust Systems i think it stands for, do good work. They are up a bit in Underwood. Great place, great products. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/249393-exhaust/#findComment-4326133 Share on other sites

hozza
I run a small High Performance Parts business, I can set you up with a good price on a full turbo back HKS Exhaust or just a catback Exhaust if your interested. Just P/M if your interested. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/249393-exhaust/#findComment-4340704 Share on other sites

subzeroR33
C.E.S very expensive for what they do. I went to Rob Bliss for the same job at half the price. I know what you mean Trust is a bit of a rip off for turbos as well so I went to ebay, and got myself turbo, manifold and wastegate for half the price Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/249393-exhaust/#findComment-4348902 Share on other sites

Yep I've got a CES system, pricey but performs beyond belief, and best of all legal dB I'm glad I went there, a friend with an R34 tried to do it for cheaper and got all the parts from CES had someone else fit and weld it up and ended in disaster....the car actually ended up going to CES to have them fix up what had been done and tune the length of the exhaust to remove all of the excessive drone. It's not just a matter of custom welding a bunch of pipes together, there's a lot more on the technical side to getting flow and low noise. Its only my opinion on the decision i made at the time. Not everyone has to spend thousands of dollars on an exhaust for a daily street car. N-DAWG
Sorry to hijack thread, but I thought it best to post here than start a new one. I'm getting my exhaust done next week as part of my turbo conversion. At the moment I'm looking at getting the exhaust done at Right Price Exhaust since it's just down the street from Hi-Power Racing who are doing the conversion. So far I've heard good things about Right Price, but I just want a second opinion before I go ahead with getting them to do it. I've been advised that the turbo and JJR front/dump and cat will have to be fitted first and then the exhaust done so to make sure everything fits up right, and as such right price being close by is a logical choice as far as that goes. Is it worth looking at other options? I've got the JJR Front/Dump pipe, just the cat converter and catback is what I'll need, so won't need a complete turboback made up. Been quoted $510 for a 3" mandrel bent system with resonator and canon tip, or $590 for the same but with a oval barrel twin tip. Reaonable? Excessive? 666DAN
Right Price did the matching up of my NA+t exhaust system years ago, was a neat job. I've found them to be way helpful actually. N-DAWG
Thanks for the tip Dan, I'll take your word for it and go with Right Price, particularly since they've done it before. Didn't you get 2.75" though back then? Should I stick with 3" all the way? Still figuring out whether to go oval barrel twin tip, or a standard canon. 666DAN
The original exhaust on the other car was all from an R33 and modified to fit, had a funny 30cm hump near the firewall to clear everything...think it was about 2.75" with a round tip. Yeah get 3" I've currently got a twin tip, it looks stock Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/249393-exhaust/#findComment-4357719 Share on other sites
N-DAWG
Sweet yeah I think i'll stick with 3" then, leaves room for more power later on. I'm thinking about the twin tip for the stock look as well...an extra $80 is worth it if it keeps unwanted attention away.
