GTRsean, that carbon fibre front lip look nice.

Cheers. Ended up selling it to one of the guys on here because over time it would end up getting damaged on my daily...

Pretty sure it's a garage saurus lip.

My LM GT3's slid out in the wet today (well more aquaplaned) and said hello to a gutter :D

This kinda stuff's fixable right? I called Magman, and I'll have to email him pics to get a quote... Not cracked, just needs rolling out, and the rest welding or whatnot. I explained to him they're the Nismo rims...

Also, Steve: Not sure those are legit LM's. I'm pretty sure they didn't make them in 16". I may be wrong though.

Had these for over two years now.

They suit the 32's!

These are 18x10's all round.

Only problem I have had is the inner rim cracking, from fatigue crappy Sydney roads etc.

Got em de buckled, rewelded and machined. Running 265 35R18 tyres all round, as I was running 255 35's, too stretched lol.

You know ive got a soft spot for these things

Whats the offset?

Also, what guard/lining mods have been done?

I had 18x9.5 on before, stretched 235's to fit under the guards as mines low. Currently on R33 GTR rims which will be replaced as soon as i find the right offsets and design for a nice 18'' but this time i want 18x10 :P

Hey Owen,

I recently got my Lm GT1 18X10 shaved back for some gutter rash which was inherited when i bought the car... The Magman will prob charge u a large amount for these as the inside of the wheels need to separated from the othside of the rim as they need to reanodise the wheel. You can do separate this youself but it does take some time might be cheaper too.. just ask the place where u werre gone get it done at. The cost would be mainly due to the outside rim being aniodised. This is a surface coating which you will notice gives the outer part i.e the rim of the wheel a "shinner" look. When geting your wheels shaved back for gutter rash you loose this anionised effect.. in addition when they weld onto the rim to fill in deep gashs the aniodised finish may sometimes discolour... (purplish metal colour) so you should be aware of this before getting them welded.

Any way i reckon they are an awesome rims and pretty rare, so fixing them might be a good idea...you need to do the balance thou, if they gonna charge you too much then its prob not worth it.

Hope some of this information helps

Cheers

I got these as well, can't be that rare >_< . I got mine when I told the place that I bought the car from that I didn't want their cheap 18's. so they took 2 grand of the the price and put on some 17" lm-gt's. I was kinda happy though I aint completely sold on em.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
