Does this work out fairly alright in price if you spray everything when you buy a new bodykit, except the engine bay, in the original colour, just a re-coat?

Not really, basicly costs the same to respray your car with or without the new body kit.

Prob needs a new thread on this but will try here anyways..

I'm after links to places to get ORIGINAL bodykits? Do they still have these? I'm after..

1. Either GTT or GTR Do-Luck Front Bar

2. Bommex Sides & Rear Bar

Just interested on P&A.. Mainly intersted in Front Bar due to more flex (those with Do-Luck will understand the pain XD).. Still havent decided whether i want GTR Bonnet for a more 'bulky' look

Oh and i have searched the forums.. And i googled (interwebs full of shit these days)

And also if you are going to get the car resprayed.. better to wait and get the bodykit and re-coat done at same time.. should get a cheaper price then getting it done separately.. Plus will be matched 100% as came from same batch paint

yeah i'd be happy with GTR do-luck.. got any links? i'd only want the front bar.. i could just leave the sides & rear as fpr.. it's just the do-luck is so low but so, so hot.. i'm already in the process of cutting my driveway to get the car up easily LOL

hey dale.. i'm assuming you got fpr? i was looking at original.. do-luck state the cost is 105,000 yen.. roughly $1770AU.. but when the economy is better should bring the price down.. just gotta weigh up the adv/disadv against fpr & plastic..

i got a gtt do-luck fpr already on the car.. you got any do-luck gtt - GTR lip to match GTT Front with the GTR bonnet... prob will stick with GTT bonnet but still messing with what i'm after as GTR makes front look tougher.. but i don't wanna make it look GTR when it ain't lol

Yup ours is in FRP (Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic). And at the moment the DoLuck kit we have is only for GTR.

i need the do-luck lip add-on for the bonnet do you psi guys have it?

Nope, sorry mate. Although we are trying to source one, but is proving difficult.

yeah it sucks my car looks so ugly without one >.< this is for the 34 GTR doluck bar btw. i seen viva garage have it on their stag/34 but they said it was custom and wanted to charge 300 for it!!!!

Hey guys drove down to DMD today and got a quote on the bodykit and sprays. This is what he gave me.

For a full M Sport or BN Style bodykit i'm looking at $990 (Not fitted or sprayed)

Add another $1400 to have it fitted and sprayed in the colour of my car.

So around the $2500 mark for a full kit in my fairly plain, stock dark blue colour.

Or for a full respray in a sky blue with no pearl or anything special $6000 for the spray plus $990 for the kit.

So around $7000 for that option...

Now at the moment i'm only working part time and wouldn't be seeing $7k for close to a year if I saved a fair bit... What do you all reckon of the quotes for the options I was given. Theres always the third option of just buying the bodykit and getting it fitted and sprayed elsewhere. Or just not getting it sprayed and drive around in a project car ;)

Let me know your thoughts ;)

Unfortunately i'm on my P's so a turbo skyline is out of the question. Besides i'm not really interested in going fast ey I like the look of skylines don't really mind about the speed it goes. You could basically call me a poser ;) so yea are the quotes ok or?

if you can afford it than go for it!! ask them if they can do a discount, once your pretty serious about it and tell them you want it they would most probly give you a discount on things, and ask them to polish up your headlights for you for free ahah!

    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
