Are you on or in the mix for the KHR30 on eBay?

It's sitting on $1250 at present and will sell for far less than your high of $3000.

There aren't a lot of these getting about in some reasonable condition and as it's complete, you could sell off what you don't want. Recently an L20ET complete sold on eBay for over $600.00.

Cheers, D

Well done Mister30, or is congratulations a more appropriate term?

You open a thread here 20th January 2009 with a request;

"Want an r30 coupe rollin shell with no engine and no gearbox but must have diff and wheels any where under 3 grand" UNDER 3 Grand???????

Then on 21st January 2009 you respond with;

"na mate got all the runnin gear just really want a coupe not to fussed on condish but any help much apreciated so if anyone is wrecking one or something but has the entire shell" .................. and,

Then on 23rd January 2009 you reply again with;

"Hey guys im really open to any suggestions so if you see one on google no of one on ebay or got one lying out in your backyard post up some pics and let me see" .............. and after several recommendations to go chase a coupe on eBay that most certainly will fall into your under 3 grand price bracket and after contacting the seller, you fail to go through with the purchase and the vehicle goes under the hammer for $2225.00 a long way short of your 3 grand ceiling. What's more, another member of this forum from Melbourne, now residing in Canberra was collecting bits to help you with your project and you didn't go on with that offer either.

What's the go? You ask for help and when you get it, you do nothing about it?? Are you just another GUNNA or simply another time waster???

You wont be scoring too many points on this forum with this attitude.

Congratulations!

You got yourself a steal in a lot of our eyes and bad luck for the dill that asked for our help and did nothing about it.

They are a dying breed in this country, any sort of HR30 JDM vehicle.

I was thinking about it myself, but my next project if it goes ahead will be an 260Z +2.

You can be assured that if and when you want any information or help and assistance, there is a wealth of experience and resources in this "Classic Skyline" section.

I'm sure we all would be interested in it's progress over time.

Cheers, D

Cheers for the warm welcome. I'm a long time r30 fan but first time owner (did own a 4dr R31 Passage for a while though) so its gone to enthusiastic hands- should be a fun project, I'll keep you all posted when anything interesting happens :) .

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
