Phobic
hey guys i was installing my new whiteline swaybars on my r32 gtst the other day and when trying to get the new nolathane bushes inside the gtst (U shape) mounting cups (front swaybar) the bushes wont fit even with trying to squish them against the subframe they just wont squash into the cups. is it possible that i need bigger cups or??? are gtr cups bigger than gtst? any help would be greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/254605-swaybars/ Share on other sites
Bennett
Nope those ones are fine just keep pushing lol You will need to put them on when the swaybar is off the car and maybe use a mallet or similar to give them the push they need Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/254605-swaybars/#findComment-4395031 Share on other sites
Phobic
have done already and they wont go in at all, even tried putting the bush round the sway bar and cup on and getting one bolt on one side of the cup done up completely then jacking the car up on the other side of the cup. i was able to lift the car completely off the jackstands without the bush squashing into the mounting cup. any other suggestions Edited January 29, 2009 by Phobic Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/254605-swaybars/#findComment-4396050 Share on other sites
Bennett
Nah i tried that way too but it wont work. It has to go on straight and evenly. Try putting both bolts just in then do them up a few turns each so it goes on evenly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/254605-swaybars/#findComment-4396932 Share on other sites
