That's not what I was saying at all. Forget the ET. It's irrelevant. What's a full-weight RB S13 weigh? Not as much as a full-weight Skyline I'd imagine.

My point was that the 128mph doesn't match that car with 600rwhp. That's all.

And dyno figures are about as relevant as post counts.

I love how everyone assumes ideal real world case’s in every single situation. I don’t control dyno calibration. 2 out of 3 where within each other, one was less (lets call the lower one closer to correct) for the sake of this discussion.

Next time I’ll have a rabi over see the dyno

thats great! so lets see it then? after you get it blessed of course.

See what? a dyno run + Rabi? I’m not actually arguing over the power being right or wrong. It ran a 10.8 at 128mph, it made happy power on a machine I do not control. If 128mph means less HP in real world testing, then so be it. What are we all trying to prove here?

AFAIK the guy I sold it to now runs an auto, keep an eye out at Willow Bank I guess

All good mate. I believe that your car made 600 and that it ran 128mph. I was just suggesting that the mph doesn't support the dyno.

And Ive been suggesting like 90% of dynos its probably incorrect. I thought this was about old mate saying my mph didnt match up with the ¼ mile time, not mph matching up with dyno print off.

2rismo is right.. that mph does not match the time.

jesus what a way to jack my thread..... yea i know your messing antony still not cool though, i always though my car had 640 crank hp back when i ran at 29 psi with 3 degress less timing i put the timing and the extra pound and it did feel like a 30+hp gain, and as for the dyno its a brand new mustang dyno its 1 of the lowest reading dyno's in the us its nick name is the heart breaker..... my freinds gt4092r talon at 38 pounds of boost dyno'd 571 awhp ... normal?? i just dont like it when people think thier stuff is better or more right then some 1 elses just cause of where they live or got it from.... ill get the sheet for you in about 30 mins when i get to the dyno

CYA haters.....

come on mate.. we aint haters.. we just have different horsepower / kw then you do. Your MPH is about the same as mine and i had only 374kw at the wheels on a proper prepped track.. the MPH tells all.

Your car may have that much hp over there, but over here its a different ball game with different dyno's... we often hear bogus power figures come out of the US that we cannot work out how.. we have the most support - more parts cheaper available to us then anyone else around the world and we been playing with imports longer then anyone else so its not because we do not know what we are doing. Its just the readings that are different.

So tell me how did you go in Chille?

thats bs man bring your car 2.5 vs 3.0 pump vs pump ill smoke you, i have 50 hp more then that time i raced and you forgeting the weight diference between our cars and drivers and i dont care if you invented the damn engine dont mean my numbers are bogus

when you get a low low 10sec quarter and 140ish mph then it will seem more realistic.

I've been waiting for someone to say that guilt man. Forget the et if his track is as dusty and shitty as he says then its unlikely he'll get the times. The mph is the litnus test tho. 130 doesnt cut the mustard.

No doubt its a tuff car and good luck to the owner/builder but unless the strip is on a 45 degree uphill slope those numbers simply do not equate to 600 plus hp.

when your looking at my rear lights it will seema little more realistic also, btw the mustang dyno was designed in australia and mustang dyno's software and formulas are made and written in australia

100% mate. I was disagreeing with GT and clarifying my point. We're on the same page :-)

not good with the whole reading thing are we i ran the 132 trap back when the car had 50 hp less less boost and less timing and my car weighs 1580 kilos with driver

Look Raegan, no one is denying your setup is tough, you have the quickest car in your class in your country and you do it all yourself which is friggin awesome. Its a great credit to you and whoever helped you.

What happened in Chille? post up pics!!! post up dyno sheet as well

and as for you floggin my car... Everyone talked it up and said that to me has learnt the hard way.. besides i am over drag racing i don't even think i will drag race it again.

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
